But most run a GL-5 with a MIL-1 rating (yellow safe) really 99.999999999% of lubes are yellow safe. You can run a 50W full synthetic oil also.
I not saying slow it down to save engine power....... just ware and tare on the alternator. A Alternator will only have so Many RPMS in its life...... just saying if you can cut the speed in half maybe it would last a little longer. Like you said its not going to be doing much of anything as is.
you know no one has talked about pulley size and alternator speed. That 12V alternator you could run one large pulley to just idle it along.. no need to spin it at 50000000 RPM.
replace the rubber fuel line from the injection pump to the filter.... mine was doing the same thing... the line looked good but after I replaced it good to go.
if we crapped out a gauge we just replaced it with a new or used.. what ever works. Its not like the military changes oil on a time or millage thing... they send in a sample and have it tested to see if the oil needs to be changed. we did not change one trucks oil in 2 years.... just kept...
