    m35 in the weeds

Make sure you talk to the "real" owners and not neighbors that want the trucks gone. I did that once on a WWII truck, drove back to the site with my car trailer to load the truck up and a guy walked up and asked what I was doing I told him I was waiting for the owner of the truck so I could pay...

    M38A1 won't drive over 35 MPH... Help!

Get the manuals. I had a very nice M38A1, that was sloooooow, and hard to start. I took it to my friend (retired Marine 30 plus years, joined June 1941), he told me the problem right away and he was right. My timing was out 180 decrees! He fixed it that day, after that she ran great and started...

    Deuce door hinges

Rocco I have a door that has both hinges still on it. I put some oil on the screws tonight to let it soak. Ok, I take out the 4 screws, that are holding the hinge to the door. Does the hinge come out at that point? Or do I need to hit it a few times with a brass hammer? One of the few, Frank

    Deuce door hinges

No luck. One door had it's hinge torched off and the other was just the hinge part that is bolted to the door. You needed both hinge parts right? the one that is on the door and the one that is bolted to the cab? Now, do not do yourself in....yet. I still have to more doors down at our farm to...

    M107, Good Deal?

RE: M107 We have that same trailer at work (MCAS Cherry Point, NC), also with a small engine to power a pump. We use ours for fuel for the trucks. Next time I look at it, I will try to remember to look at the data plate to see if it started life as a water buffalo. One of the few, Frank

    M37 used Medics?

RE: M43 Pics I have never seen a M37 cargo truck marked with the red cross, even when it was with a medical unit. I have seen several photos during WWII of Dodge WC 51s, WC52s, (4x4 cargo trucks) and the WC63s (Dodge 6x6), plus the GMC 6x6 marked with red crosses. They were used to carry...
