Very stupid quiston. At work we get in clean oil that is mixed with alcohol. It comes from a clean room shop, that uses oil and alcohol on aircraft parts. It is mainly oil, but you can smell the alcohol mixed in it. We get about 1, 55 gallon drum a mounth.
We can not put it in with our recycle...
Sorry, I thought you were talking about the round items that were stored on top of the trailer in the last photo at the top. Those are shipping containers. We have them at work for shipping aircraft parts.

The "Pressurized Units" are twain agent units. They were mounted in the back of M1028 trucks. We had two of them in our Crash Crew in the Marines. One tank held PPK powder and the other tank held lite water (foam). The units were pressurized by two nitrogen cylinders. They were made for fast...
That Hummer on the GSA site looks like the one that that was offered by the company that built Hummer for the military. It was offered to airports and Goverment agencies . They had a fire truck version also. They were very$$$. We got some information on them while I was in the Marines, the...
I did not get a chance to go up to see my friend today. I did call him and told him that I would take some of the carbs off him. He thinks they are all Zeniths. I will keep every one posted.

I was at a friends place the other day, and he showed me several unopened boxes of 5 ton (gas engine) carbuators. They were all packaged for over seas shipment. He told me to make him an offer for them. If I get them, I will offer them here first, how many of you have a 5 ton gasser? and would...
My friend down the street drove one during the invasion of Iwo Jima. He said that jeeps were the easiest to cross over. He would earn the Bronze star on Iwo. He has several stories to tell about the battle, to include the changing out of a clutch on a comm. jeep that had burned it's clutch out...

You also forgot to mention the fine Marine Corp decal on the back glass.
If you were closer I would be all over that truck for my farm.
Take care.

The Owner of White Owl parts company told me that his Dad would also make log skidders out of DUKWs. He said they would cut the bodies off and cut the frames. They had lots of DUKWs back then. Also, years ago, I wrote a story For the MVPA about a farm I went to and in the woods were the remains...
Mark,
I am glad you found the data plate/mounting plate. That kit was the only one I had that was still sealed up, I did not think any thing was missing.
On the mounting bracket, if you could send me the bracket, or draw it with the measurements, I could take it to work and have another one...
Red Devils dude
Every heater kit I have seen mounted in a M35A2 has been on the inner inside fender. Now, this was about 10 trucks I looked at and they were all multifuel. Do you have a photo of how one is mounted on the frame? Also, the trucks I looked at were all USMC trucks, so it could be...
Mark
Keep looking for the HI-OFF-LOW plate. If you do not find it, I will get you the one off my truck.
The kit did not come with the bracket that mounts the heater to the fender. That is one of the wierd things about this kit. Some one on this forum printed some thing about some one who makes...
Trailer looks great.
But....are the bows shorter or is the canvas (plastic) now cut longer? I had NOS canvas on my M101 and it did not hang down that far. It was almost even with the bed.

A Marine friend here says they would also rub the canvas part that slides into the channel with soap. I tried it with a top that I could not get to go in, it work.
This guy joined the Marines in June of 1941 and spent over 30 years in mainly MT. He gives me advice all the time from the old...

The kit I got came with the instructions. I have no way of scanning them, but if you PM me your address I could make a copy of them at work and mail them to you.

The trucks that I looked at this summer had the engines and transmissions removed before going out to the ranges. The range I was at is near the ocean so this could have been the reason.
I did get to see a very nice 5 ton that was just out of rebuild that was waiting to become a target. Sad part...
