We never towed with any of our crash trucks (fire trucks). I spent 16 of my 20 years in Crash Fire Rescue, the first truck I learned to operate was the M530C. We were told the pintol hook in the back was for recover only. The photo of the M530C towing a trailer, if it is the same one that I have...
I will be in Spartinburg this week end, how far are you from there?
Also, in 1977, I was going in the Marines at that time. I was at the training area at Fort Jackson, SC. There was a convoy of Army trucks, they could have been reserve or NG, but one of the trucks was a M211!!and this was in...
RE: Interesting...
These types of ambulances were purchased for base hospitals. I would see them at every base I was on. The first ones I ever saw was at Parris Island and it was a Jeep 1 ton ambulance with duals. These ambulances were used to respond to emergancies in the boonies. You have to...

It would have to be the day that my beautiful red headed bride found my 2nd deuce. The one I did not tell her I was getting....it was not pretty.

Spend every moment you can with the trucks! When I rented out 3 of my WWII trucks they were wrecks when the trucking company brought them back. I ended up selling them, just could not bring myself to restore them again. My friend has a company that rents trucks for movies, but he puts...
RE: John Winslow
Talked to John today. He said around $5300 for the dump set up, installed. He also said it is a 12 ton rated system. Very friendly, can not wait to see his place.

Jeff, I did the same thing years ago with 2 WWII bomb trailers. The guy even sent me a check. I was selling them for $500 each, but put $50...
A little side note on this truck as I see them every day at work. They are so big, they even have a ladder built into the tail gate so you can get in the back from ground level. The ladder folds down from the tail gate.

If you have just some small places to paint. I will give Garbee some spray cans of Zinc Chromate to pass on to you. He can have the two gallons to do his mule with.

My father in law went to work for DRMO after he retired from the Marines. About 10 years ago or more, he had to start doing follow ups on stuff that was sold. He worked with the HAZMAT side, selling unopen paint and other un used materals. He said he would be sent out to make sure it was being...
