RE: Beacons
Does any one know the hours for TNJ Murray? It is not listed on there site and I have called twice this week around 4 and all I get is the answer machine. They are on the east coast so there is no time difference.
Thanks.

I have been collecting Military Vehicles for over 25 years. I have never heard any one say any thing bad about Vintage wiring of Maine. Also, let them know the year of your M37, as I think there was two different wiring harnesses used.

This truck looks to have spent most of it's life parked. They used it as a wrecker. They have a towing/lifting device on the fith wheel. It is just unhooks. They will take it off if I get the truck. They as asking $1500 for it.
How much does a carbuator for one go for, and who would have them...
Just found a 5 ton tractor. It is a Gas model. It runs, but they are unsure of the brakes. What can any one tell me about them? This one looks good under the hood, with a little micky mouse wiring were they replaced the lighting system.
How good was the gas ones? It has some rust holes in the...
The first Bantam trailers made after the war, were made from lift over stock. So, yes to all your quistons.
I had one that was listed as a 1946 and it was a WWII trailer with a factory cut tail gate in it. It had the civilian hitch and data plate. The wheels were WWII combat rims, and the body...

Yes, if you do not mind getting a few close ups of how it is mounted. I will check this week end to see if my kits match up to the breather.
Also, what saze is the lettering on your truck?

That looks like it, did yours have a cotter key at the bottom to keep the brackets from coming off?
The hose on mine is black colored, nasty almost tar coated materail.
I picked up 12 of the snorkels today. I will look at my M35 and see if I can make that bracket you have on yours...
Today, I picked up "what I hope" to be fording kit snorkels.
They are the hose, that are attached to a rod that has two sliding brackets that attach to something.
Does any one have a photo of how these things are mounted to the truck?
Thanks for any help.

I saw several trucks with the lifting bars in place while in the Marines. I am still kicking myself because there were several of the them on the trucks my friend cut up back in January. I did find one of the lifting bars in the pile of scrape and I gave it to Garbee.

RE: Re: RE: Opinions on value of this bobbed duece
I have bought a truck from BigWheelBob, he is a great guy, and I can tell you this. I have been collecting military trucks for over 25 years, this MUST be a hobby for Bob, because I still can not see were he made a dime off the truck he sold...
This helped me years ago when the town tried to make me get rid of my military vehicle collection.
Get out and help the comunity. Haul the older verterans in the parades, help the Boy scouts with the can goods drive, stop by the Fire Department and Police Department just to let them know you are...
I will bet you the shirt was done while the SEEBEE was on Okanawa (Japan). That was very commom to have done to our uniforms while on "the rock". Down side was, you could no longer were the uniform while on duty, as they had an iron on stecil. Mommason could saw just about any thing.

Yes, it is for the dolly. I have one on the dolly remains here. The little box looking thing mounted on it, that has $50.00, painted on it, is for the spare tire. Mine had 700:16s on it.

Could not get the classifieds to work, could be me, the 70s were very unkind to me.
I have two M series tow bars, and 4 different sets of adapters for sell. I think I also have the manual for the tow bar also. I also have some extra pins. I am asking $550 for every thing. I am in NC.
I know you...
We still have them at MCAS Cherry Point, got them from the Air Force. They still work, and we have little to no money to get new stuff. My freind has two at his place. I will check to see if he scraped them out during his big clean up.

Sorry, forgot to answer your last quiston. The M715 and the M718 are as different as night and day. One is a good size 1 1/4 ton truck and the other is a small little M151 jeep that has had an ambulance "kit" added to it. You might even be able to put a M718 in the bed of a M715.

I would bet it is a M715, and the paper work is wrong. Very commom mistake. I would not get that upset about it. If the fire department can, have them re-do the paper work. Show them the photos of a M715. Maybe, on the data plate it has been painted over or damaged and the 5 looks like an 8...
