Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

I finally got the durhamtown site to pull up. Looking at the cabins, does it matter what I choose? Also cost. The wristbands. I don't want to drive trails, just want to come out and watch. With that, I would get the spectator band, or would I still have to get a driver band because I'm...

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

So I am thinking about it and mapping it out in my head. Hotels, what is available in the area? The dates span pretty good, 8th - 12th. If you had to make a choice of when you would make it, would it be the first half, middle, or weekend.

Ever seen auxillary engine and transmission filters like this?

Most defiantly, you probably know my family then, the Hopwood's.

Ever seen auxillary engine and transmission filters like this?

This is where you would get your AOAP sample from. Should be a little nipple at the bottom, and with the engine running you would put your bottle under it, pull or push the tab (been a while so not sure on direction) and fill it up.

When is someone going to bob a HET?

There was one for sale in the classifieds that was painted grey and had a bed on the back. Didn't see it, maybe the admin can pull an old pic of it from the deep web. This is the link I got from google http://www.steelsoldiers.com/archive/index.php/t-122854.html Here is a pic of one with a...

    5 ton Inner Seal Removal

Alright, got the drivers side in. Heated the casing for about 5 minutes and cooled the seals. Slipped right in. Don't know why I didn't do that in the first place.

    5 ton Inner Seal Removal

Got them out, now the fun part of putting them back in. I have had to pop it back out at least 4 times now. I'll put it as level as I possibly can, put the bearing seater tool on it and hit it with the hammer. As soon as I hit it, it goes in crooked. Tried a 4x4 and just split the wood.

    5 ton Inner Seal Removal

Alright, rebar worked, 4 whacks with the sledge and it was out. Pipe just didn't transfer the energy.

I'm not selling her just yet. Went and got a piece of rebar from the farm and I'm going to cut it down and try it.

    5 ton Inner Seal Removal

Alright guys. I've got both knuckles off and tried to use a 3/4 pipe to push the seal retainer out and all I did was beat up the pipe. Suggestions? I tried to use a crowbar and now I have a 90 degree crowbar.

    Can't get steering knuckle off...

I did place an order for studs, but started thinking about it and it seems bolts will serve just as well.

    Can't get steering knuckle off...

End play test, I take it you are referring to vertical movement.

    Can't get steering knuckle off...

Decided I'm going to use bolts instead of studs. Vertical load will be the same regardless, and as long as I use grade 8 I will be fine.
