Went to do the Doghead relay mod, Army must have experienced a runaway
I finally got around to doing the relay mod only to find the Army already did a replacement. Should I still do the mod or is this relay suitable that they already put in.
2nd What the heck are all these other capped off...
No, mine has a 5 digit+10th's. Manufacture date of the vehicle 12/85
Thanks guys, at this point I'm going to presume it's 32K, the seats are in great shape, one rip on the side of the drivers seat. The pedals look pretty minty.
If they are bad, would the resistance be high or low or can be either way? Just curious. Of the 6 I tested they were all about 1 ohm which is in range from what I've read.
Would be sweet to delude myself that the M1009 I bought has 32,000 miles on it as Gl listed. (don't blame them though, the odometers aren't 6 digit.)
What should I look for on these trucks to determine whether it's actually 32k or 132K? What tires were originally on an 86 M1009? Any way to...
I like the looks I get and screw the ahole on one side of me anyway.Dirtbag and a half. Playing the disability game while he can go trapsing around the woods hunting, chopping wood, riding his ATV ect....
I just took the deuce into town, dropped off my spare that needs the oring replaced, ran...
I read somewhere in the TM's to blip the throttle, I do that and mine goes out and stays out. Wondering why it comes on though in the first place? Brand new batteries BTW.
After all that, guess I'll do it to be on the safe side anyway, LOL. Where did you guys get the ring terminals? Is there an assortment pack available? Any auto parts store have them? Thanks Doghead.
TM9-2320-289-20 Not trying to be a jerkwad here, you guys are always telling me to read the TM's... :) Was scrolling through the whole TM, I have a slight oil leak, looks to be the rear seal, just stumbled across this as I was thinking of going out in the 20 degree temp to do the mod also.
Found this little nugget in the TM. Guess I bought the relay for nothing. Oh well spare part and saves me the little trouble of doing it. Mine was produced in 12/85
42.1. STARTER STAYS ENGAGED
NOTE
Original starter relays on vehicles prior to July 1985 production were
defective. The point...
LOL don't fall...... The old days..... Congrats on the wrecker and the little pup and your kids. All are great. Where's your M1008 or M1009 though? I find the pictures lacking.... ;)
What kind of cost? Reason I'm asking is I see a wrecker of some kind in my future. I was real tempted to bid on a wrecker in Sparta this last week, but my wife would've buried me out back. But as soon as the house and misc debt is paid off, sky is the limit with cash.
