Chris, I know this won't help, but if you were near Flint, there is a great starter shop up here. I had mine totally rebuilt for $125 and it only took a day. If you end up going the rebuild route I'll give you the contact info.
RE: Re: RE: What oil filter for 10kw MEP-018a with a spin on
The trip was great. Perfect weather, and peak colors. Spent the 4 days on Drummond Island. Found a guy with a 47 Willy's and asked him about it when I went into his store. He said it runs, and would sell it for $900. Went out and...
Thanks! Yup, EGT and boost.
I used nylon spacers between the four mounting points on the light and the dash. The light is elevated about a 1/16" off of the dash.
Sorry for the poor picture quality.
Nice Job! I really like that light, I've never seen one like it before. That would also work great in a cucv, as they don't have a dome light either.
I mounted one of the armor lights in my duece. It works nice too.
RE: Thought it was you
Lane ,that link you sent for the burner looked like a fair price indeed. I'll watch if they come up again. My problem is not having room for storage. My 105 trailer is already filling with overflow from the garage. Next will be the back of the duece..... :)
No, didn't bid. Was going to though. I have a 30,000 btu propane burner that would fit in place of the gas burner. Thought about getting one as part of our deer camp gear, but what would I do with all the others? And I didn't get a chance to call and find out if any other stuff, utensils, etc...
Anybody familiar with these units? How do they work? What kind of gas runs them? Can you tell if they are complete? Is there a griddle under the cover or a tub?

Check all sources for a truck. You never know what will turn up. A number of guys here have got them on ebay and have gotten really nice trucks. If anything, it will give you an idea of condition and what they're going for when you get ready to buy one. Good luck.
The 1009 makes a great daily driver. They have 3:08 axle gears so running at 65, 70, 75 is not a problem, they'll do it all day long. They are also pretty good on the fuel too. I recently checked mine on a trip and got 20.4 mpg driving between 65 and 70.
The 1008's have 4:56 gears and when...
From the outside it looks solid and everything looks to be there. How about the interior? Did you drive it too? The paint looks good wet. :)
Whats the white thingy on the front bumper?
