Heres a pic of where the probe is located. Not a good one though, too much stuff to hold out of the way and take a picture at the same time, but you get the idea.
You can just see the top of it and the line running from it to the gauge. Here is one of the gauge placement too.
RE: Re: RE: Need to test run a 6.2
No worries with SS. When they say the military uses the same glowplugs, believe them. I was going to replace the GP's with a set of their 24v self limiting plugs in the cucv I had just gotten from GL, and after pulling a couple out of the truck, found that...
Yes. There are only 4 wires on the harness, and 4 terminals on the OEM relay. The 5 pin aftermarket relay does plug into the harness though, and it works.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Cucv and M103 trailer in columbus OH.
Chuck, I might be available if you need someone to drive down with you if your cousin can't go. Let me know what shakes out....
The starter relay is different Chuck. There are a number of the same Bosch relays that are used for other cicuits, and they are mounted on the same bracket.
This is what the aftermarket starter relay looks like. There are 2 failures for these. Not working, and stuck on. So if your starter runs...
I've got both types of mudflaps here, and it looks like you can easily trim the square flaps back to work on the dropside.
Also, anybody have a set, or a source for the 2 stabalizer bars that are used on the rear sides, inside of the dropside box? It sturdies the sides up when the tailgate is...
Sorry guys, thought the packaging was still on the bench in the garage. Must have tossed it after I installed it. Just ask the dealer for an exploded view of the engine, it will be shown on there.
The local Autozoo had no clue as to what a GP40 was..... and no cross to a Napa AR135.
Went to Carquest and they had no cross for a GP40 either, but gave them the Napa # and it crosses to their p/n RY117. It mounts a little different and there is an extra prong on it, but it fits the connector...
Thanks Mike. I saw that number and printed the thread off, but thought the local dealership might carry the starter relay if the voltage was the same. So the military uses a 12v relay? Napa is quite a bit farther from me, but I'll call them to see if they have it in stock. So why don't the civy...
Yellow! McCullah? (...and that's not drool...). :)
They used to be a good saw many years ago.
I had one of those yellow McHoffahs (saw would die for no reason) a long time ago, and the bar oiler kept failing on it. That pos still sits in the corner of the garage, never to cut again...
After further research, the part is a suppressor according to the schematic. Must be for noise I'm guessing. It is removed and it has no effect on starting/running. My starter relay went south so the starting problem is now fixed. The voltmeter failed at the same time too, and after some circuit...
Chuck, I think there was thread on that not too long ago. I put mine on the rear of the right side head. The left rear has the temp sensor for the idiot light, the right has a block off plate. It's the same position as the front of the heads where the coolant crossover goes (except at the rear...
