Just recently had time to mess with this truck.
I'm certainly not an expert on deuces but, I do believe they put the cargo cover on backwards!
I got a new lower radiator hose and did not expect changing that lil bugger would be so difficult :|
44 MB frame
43 GPW data plate, looks like a 11-5-43 DOD to me, AAWII shows that sn 158278 had a DOD of 11-6-43. I think by late 43 both Ford and Willys were using the ACMII tub
GPW's ( and maybe MB's) have a tub # on the drivers side toe support (triangle stamped bracket from lower firewall to...
Joe is should be in Lansing Friday
I had called him 3 to 4 times a day last week, finally got him about 4pm Thursday.
His response was simple, "yea you can come pick it up tommorrow, if not I won't be back in Lansing untill next Friday, the 16th.
I'll add the M35A2 W/W when you give it to me!
Granted it did take me a couple days to edit out the "waiting on EUC" which was after the M36A2 W/W
Package received, Thanks!

I have Progressive Direct.
Was just told anything over 1ton capacity or with more than 4 wheels
would have to go through their commercial division.
The commercial division told me that a former military vehicle could not be insured direct yet could be done by Progressive through an independant...
That is conceivable, but the mph/kph speedo superceded the mph only one, and when the supply of MPH only ones ran out dual scale one were used.
US units were large MPH and small inner kph with miles on the odometer.
There could be a millions reasons for why it was changed
Just brought this home from Lansing Mi

Lansing forecast is snow...
I don't see where a serial number is on the invoice or listing.
Insurance people want at least a vin and would also like info like year and manufacturer.
Three things I do not have. ????
Edit:
Ok I see on the invoice it is saying Am General ( the auction page showed US Army TACOM as...
No M880's were sold to Canada (M880 is a US designation)
The Canadian Army did have 1976 model W200's with 4 speed manual transmissions.
US Gov't replacement speedos had both MPH and KPH yet the odometer was in miles.
Holy Moly!!!!!!!
Lane's chant worked
