they need to start making all seals and o-rings that contact fuel in diesel engines out of VITON, its the best at resisting any breakdown under bio-diesel use.
Re: RE: And the work begins
ditto on that one, both i and a buddy have shattered ours, its a thing with these trucks. with the window down its very close to the crank inside the door.
with the stiffer springs that most lifts come with, you will have almost zero body roll, it will feel tigher than the stock suspension. As long as you dont try to make a tight turn at 50mph you'll be fine. My truck rides like its on rails. the wider tires will help with stability greatly.
to run those tires you need at least a 4" lift with trimming, a 6" would be prefered.
I'd like to know where you got the tires AJM?
I know that there aren't cheap.
yes there are two, the one you removed just holds the axle shaft inside the hub, so it stays against the seal on the back side of the spindle.
the one that you still need to remove is a LARGE one right at the outer edge of the hub, I will take a picture for you tomorrow.
the snap ring that you are looking for now, is located right at the outer edge of the HUB, its holding the inner gear in. remove it and everything will come out fine. and in regards to the slack you are noticing, if both lockouts are engaged and its taking that much movement you need to change...
paul, the issue he's describing sounds like when he backs up the steering wheel is not following the path of the tires, like he then pulls forward and although the tires point straight the wheel isnt.
RE: What
has high miles as far as most of the cucv's you see. my engine looks the same as that one and i have 85K on mine, so its not a new engine. I see no pics of the rear of the inside of the truck, so i would guess that its pretty rusty. the rear floors in the blazer are a trouble spot.
RE: Re: RE: I need Info on batteries
i suppose its with the way the cucv charges the batts (two 12v alts) instead of one 24v alt.
but i would still think that it would feed 12vpositive through the neg. terminal on the "jumping" vehicle. on your tractor there isnt much to mess up, but on a new...
as far as the tach goes a simple circuit an be made to use the ESS signal from a vac pump from a california truck. you just bolt the other vaccuum pump in, run a few wires and you can use ANY gasoline tach that you want.
