    civy pto

I'm pretty sure there is no civilian version of the 3053. If you find the info post it up though.;)

    Getting a MEP-016C going

Thanks Kenny. I'll holler at Bjorn if I can get the engine issues worked out

    civy pto

Wasn't a 3053. They don't have the capability to mount PTOs on both sides.

    Getting a MEP-016C going

I'll get you a pic Kenny. I've found a complete set of pistions, rings, and rods for $36, NOS. I don't think it will cost me all that much to fix the engine but I fear I'll still end up with a DOA head. I don't know how you did it but the manual downloaded fine. Thanks a bunch. [thumbzup]...

    Winch PTO...How tight?

They shift pretty stiff anyway. My uncle has a deuce and has had a stroke. I cut his spring off because he was having trouble shifting the PTO lever.

    Getting a MEP-016C going

Thanks for all the replies. I fooled with it some more today. Managed to get the fuel system primed by slightly pressurizing the tank and cracking the line at the carb. It fired right up with the pull rope after she got some fuel. Good news- It fired right up and ran pretty well. Bad news- It...

    Getting a MEP-016C going

I picked up a MEP-016C the other day at a local auction. I didn't give much for it but the more I dig I'm starting to wonder if I bought a pile of parts. There was a mouse hotel inside the control box with some of the wiring chewed up and a little corrosion (doesn't look too bad though). What...

    Having a fuel tank made

Top feed or bottom feed won't really matter. With the tank higher than the IP, if you break a line or have fuel shutoff problems fuel will still leak out with a top feed. It will siphon out. I'd definitely go with AL if I could afford it.

    civy pto

I've searched and talked to all the major PTO manufacturers. I have yet to find a deuce PTO in current production. Years ago Chelsea made one but has been obsolete for a long time. One from a Chevy C60 definitely won't work. They say there are a few out there in the civilian junk yards but I've...

    drive shaft

I don't know much about vehicle drivelines but I have been heavily involved in agriculture drivelines in the past. What a lot of people don't understand is that a u-joint will have a change in velocity depending on the angle (the more the angle the more the velocity change). On ag applications...

    Oliver 2150 with multifuel

Usually the governors are different in something such as a tractor compared to a vehicle. Tractor governors are set up to more or less run at a constant speed under varying loads (giving more fuel as the need arises to maintain RPM . Vehicle governors basically just keep you from over revving...

Does the the 1990 m101a2 have a spare tire?

Just carry you a 16" 8 lug GM wheel and tire with you if you are worried about a spare for the recovery.

Winch Deuce on GL for $1100

This is kind of the same feeling I have. I trailer all my trucks home. It's not just a safety issue to me but I also would rather PM a truck in the comfort of my shop than on a GL lot with the GL guy standing over me trying to hurry me up. I do know a lot of members do drive them home and I try...

    Going to bid on Humvee

Just going by what little info we have, I wouldn't go over $2K. It will more than likely bring more than that if there are HMMWV people there. The HMMWV is kind of cool and I'd like to have one but they are way overpriced IMO.

    Oliver 2150 with multifuel

IMO, the high compression of the mutifuel is major reason you can't get much "extra" hp out of them. High compression is a factor in the high EGT we experience when you turn the fuel up. It also contributes to windows in the block. If I was wanting to get some serious hp out of a multifuel one...

    Compressor going bad?

Matt, that's your air governor. You can hear it "click" when in cycles on and off (even from inside the cab). It shouldn't be cycling all the time or leaking air though. Sounds Like you may need a governor. You can pick them up at any NAPA.

    PU with Std Trans???

:ditto: Just about every civilian truck of that vintage was offered with a standard trans. You won't find one as far as MVs go though. You'll have to go all the way back to the M715 built in the late '60s for that.

    Missing trans. plug??

The manuals are just a click away. JATONKAM35s HOME ON THE WEB Free for the taking, thanks to Jatonka.
