Hey guys,
I'm working on an 806A for a guy and the temp gage sender in the back corner of the head is broken ( physically broken! )
Looked in the TM and on line and it looks like I need:
Beede 127341 , 5905-01-376-0985 , 88-21742
After a little internet searching I really did not come up with...
The check ball is in the Tee fitting right at the top cover of the Injection pump.
Sounds like the glass ball in there is stuck, causing the internal pump cavity pressure to rise and kill the pump's internal fuel transfer process.
Take the tee fitting off and the check ball is in the lower...
If you find an issue with the exciter stator I think I have a couple spares. if the problem ends up being in the rotor I will have to look, not sure if I have any to spare.
Yes... Love tap is the optimal wording.... and notice that I also stated that if the love taps work, then take it apart to see what is causing it to hang up, so it can be fixed properly.
Kurt is correct, it's just a connection point that allows you to separate the connections to remove the end of the generator and the field stator.
I would just clean as best you can, maybe pinch the female end closed a little more for a tighter fit and check continuity.
This may sound like a odd solution but, it sounds like your K1 is hanging up internally.
If you have already measured things per the TM using a meter, that means you have the top cover off and K1 exposed.
Go in there and tap sharply on K1 with a rubber mallet or something a few times, than fire...
Ha, funny you say that Guy... I was poking around in the Classified section last night and saw Kurt's VR and found that it doesn't utilize the transformer ( which I believe is my problem ) so I already ordered one of his VR's this morning!
Should prove to be a much more cost effective and bullet...
Correct, what I was wondering is if I have a TRC transformer can I replace it with another TRC transformer ( if I can find one ) or is there any reason why I would need to replace all 3 parts if only one part is bad ?
I'm assuming I can replace just a single bad component with another from the...
Looks like I may have an 806A with a similar issue. When starting it I get some voltage as long as I hold the switch, but it only gets to about 90V and power goes away as soon as I let go of the switch and the Low voltage fault indicator is illuminated.
While holding the S1 , the voltage adjust...
I'm sure you guys have seen this option already but I have used the electric over hydraulic conversion pumps to convert a couple of the larger air over hydraulic trailers with excellent success.
Cost starts at about $1000 , so not cheap, but might be another option for anyone worried about long...
I agree with Chainbreaker 100% , this is sounding more and more like a loose-loose for you with the current deal structure.
You should stick to the 2 options CB laid out, otherwise walk away for it!
Another option is that there are several guys on this forum including myself, that offer good...
With your aux tank higher than the gen are you saying the current setup will siphon? ( I would expect YES )
Adding the solenoid will stop that from happening.
If you decide to make your machine function as designed, I probably have the parts to do so, solenoid etc.
Is all the wiring still in tact?
If the machine has been sitting for over a year without being run ( especially with today's poor quality fuel in it ) there is a very good chance the injection pump is gummed up. Attempting to turn the motor over ( as you apparently already know ) without first ensuring the IP isn't stuck, will...
For that rubber cap, most parts stores sell an assortment kit of thick rubber caps, often in the little red "HELP" packages.
Get the thick ones, not the thin vacuum caps.
I know O'riley's has them, I have bought them for this exact same issue before.
There are 2 of the correct size in the 6 pc...
FYI, I have all my equipment and generator hoses made by WWW.DiscountHydraulichose.com
You go on the website, design the lines with whatever fittings and hose you want and it's a $10 flat rate assembly fee for each hose.
They ship to your door in 2-3 days.
I have found the best bang for the buck...
I'm surprised you have any tongue weight at all with the tank full....
Normally one person can lift the tongue by hand.... barely.
Add another 500 lbs. out back and its a miracle you haven't flipped it over backwards!
Wow.... that's one of 3 things...
1) Ingenuity ( working with what you have available.... )
2) Redneck Redundancy... if the tube fuse fails, lets see if the maxi-fuse blows too, if not there really isn't a problem.....
3) Someone's idea of a good joke for the next guy going in there....
But...
Yup, that all looks correct. The spring in that shot also looks to be in the ballpark.
Maybe you should give it a bit of a workout first, then attempt the droop adjustment again.
If it has been sitting a while i am a little concerned about maybe having some gum / varnish in the injection pump...
I agree. I think you need to try performing the droop adjustment again. Either raise the spring to stop hunting or lower the spring to reduce the amount it droops down when a load is applied.
Keep in mind that as you change the droop setting you will also need to readjust the throttle upon...
