Can you shift the lever? If you can't there's a good chance that the shifting collar has rusted to the shaft. If that is the case you can try and shift the lever as you pull on the cover. Once the shifting fork gets out so far you can slip it off of the shifting collar and the cover will come...
I've always used a 1/2" drive ratchet. The military used a piece of square keystock that you inserted into the hole and used a adjustable wrench to turn it in the BII.
What are you asking for the complete truck? What kind of shape is it in? I'd think you wouldn't have any problem selling it if you didn't want too much for it. Have you listed it in the classifieds here? If you were a little closer to me I'd be interested if it was in running order.
The more...
Good deal. Maybe she will let you ride in it when she get's it. Just kidding :-D.
I owned a 1 ton Chevy and a C60 GMC when I was 15. Couldn't drive either legally but I got by ;-) . Wouldn't do it nowdays though because they are alot harder on you if you get caught (or have a wreck). I don't...
Is the account you bid under listed under your Dad's name or something? The reason I ask is because if the account is in your name, you may run into trouble with your EUC and your DL copy ;-).
Thread sealant on a compression fitting will do more harm than good. It could accually be causing the leak. If you've got the connection tight (without any sealant) and it still leaks you're going to have to replace the line and/or fitting.
I've already have a #10601 pump on my truck that runs the dump. It's driven off of a t-case PTO. I went with a t-case PTO to run the pump so I could run my winch off of the trans PTO. I still may go with a hyd PTO though because I've already got the pump. I looked at the pump you listed but...
You could have both systems on the same engine but you'd never want to use both at the same time. I'm not sure what would happen but it couldn't be good injecting ether into a manifold that has a flame already in it. I'd say at worst an explosion and at best a fire.
What would really be a win, win would be if they gave you a refund also . To be honest, with the way GL works it wouldn't suprise me. Of course, they would eventually find the mistake and want the money back with interest though .
It all depends on how much the fuel is turned up. Do a search on "turning up fuel" and play with the fuel setting a little. You need to have a pyro installed before you mess with the fuel setting though.
That trailer is way too big to haul something as small a deuces or even a 5-ton. Unless you got a abrams to move around, that setup is way overkill. Trailers like that are used in the civilain world but it's mostly used to move stuff that weighs 100 tons+.
Can you imagine what just the tire bill...
I have no idea about the MVs but I know that right around the years we are talking about here, Cummins changed their civilain engine color from tan to black. The early Cummins are tan, the later Cummins were black, and now they've went to red on some of them.
After looking at the pics I've got some ideas. How about another brace that goes under the crossmember and hits on it. Then add some sort of stop that the brace hits aginst to limit side to side movement or maybe holes in the crossmember and weld some locator pins in the brace. I'm just trying...
Unless it's a pretty small diaphragm pump, I not sure the deuce air system can keep up. Those things consume a bunch of air.
I don't thing a centrifuge would work with a diaphragm pump either. I'd think it wouldn't have a steady enough flow to keep the centrifuge spinning.
Yes, I've bought several HX trucks. Some were in great shape and others were basket cases. As has already been said, pay no attention to the codes. If you want to be sure you get a good truck, inspect it in person before you bid. That's the only way to know what you're getting.
Ian, They made some smaller mirrors for the deuce. That will help on the tight trails.
You need to bring the truck down to the Georgia rally http://www.steelsoldiers.com/ga-rally/53347-official-2010-ss-ga-rally-info-thread.html?highlight=georgia+rally
I've never been but from the pics I've...
The site has slowed way back down for me and sometimes pages won't load.
I will say that my computer has been acting a little crazy lately so it could be on my end but it's doing the same thing that it was when these website problems started.
You're right about the spool not having any seals. They are a machined fit and when the wear out the only fix is to replace the whole valve ( spools wearing out are rare though).
It could also be that the cylinder packing is shot and letting the fluid bypass enternally. You've definitely have...
If the site still says "EUC pending" after a few more days, it's a good Idea to call them and make sure they got it. They've lost more than one EUC from me.
