My opinion - if the LR is pretty cheap, save it from the weeds, and find a dedicated LR expert/restorer to take it off your hands for cost. If you're not familiar with LRs, you have a steep learning curve, best to find someone familiar with them. IMHO.

Sounds like a deal to me. There are plenty of parts sources, and even NOS engines in the crate can be found, if it turns out the motor is bad. $800 is a steal, it would be a shame to miss out on this. Oh, and.... nopics
