I wish they had more front end units. A few got out in years past, but I haven't seen any in the past year. All I know is, whoever got those early front units, he's the luckiest guy in the world, since he has the critical part.

Put a brass wire wheel in a power drill, and LIGHTLY work it on the CARC overspray.

The DUKW is the floating version of the CCKW, most of the mechanical parts are the same. The issue will be rust repair on the hull, which is a PITA from what I have heard. Hope it finds a home, when restored those DUKWs are worth a small fortune.

Are you sure, Chuck? I had a 1964 M416 trailer, that I completely tore down to every last nut and bolt in 1998, and the frame unbolted from the body tub, I sent it to the sandblasters in two pieces, and bolted it back together.

I have seen $200 for a rusted out beater, up to $1200 for a perfectly restored example. Average good used trailers in the $500 range.

Where did all the classifieds go? I had 6 or 7 ads listed....

These are great before and after pics, quite a turn around from almost scrap metal condition to excellent condition at the very least! Your restos give the rest of us inspiration to work on our own rides! Any more?
