It might haul it home, but I wouldn't tow that heavy trailer with a M1009, it is just not safe. The M1009 can haul a M416 or other 1/4 ton trailers, and some would even argue against towing a M101 3/4-ton trailer with it.

One of my trucks had a mashed right turn signal housing, so I pulled a used one from TNJ Murray last time I was there. I installed it yesterday, checked the bulbs inside (like new), and tried it out. Now, when the lights are on, and I move the turn signal switch to "left", the left blinker...

Those are M34 deuce-and-a-halves. The single rear wheels and the bed design is a dead giveaway. Early 1950s, I want to say REO Motors made them, but there might have been several makers for this model. Definitely collectable, there aren't many M34s left....

That would be funny if there were a couple grunts on the ground behind the track, holding up metal rods with hot dogs on them in the backblast of the launcher. Marshmallows might be blown off the rods, though. rofl

I believe it was officially called MERDC camo pattern, standard from 1974 until the early 1980s, when it was replaced with the current 3-color camo pattern.

RE: m38 recovery Good save! Once you own a flat-fender jeep, you'll never be able to live without one. They are fun to drive, very useful around the farm, and you'll be the envy of all your buddies. Make sure it gets restored well, and MORE PICS as the jeep gets put back together!

Sorry if I'm wrong. All the military Mog's I've ever seen were 404s with gasser engines. All the diesel Mogs I've seen were commercial or civil duty rigs, not military. I've seen plenty, but I guess not enough.
