    M54A1C's in Desert Storm?

RE: M54A1C I have a book at home printed in 1992, right after Desert Storm, with plenty of US military vehicles pictured in it, including some showing M39-series 5-tons being used in the Southwest Asian operational theater. That would include M54 cargo variants. I would guess the military...

    wreckers?

I updated the list with commonality of the vehicles, related to how often they are seen. The last one I'm not sure, I pulled the designation off the "M" list, but I have no idea what it is. I also am missing the designation for the HEMTT wrecker. gimpy - I know, some call them...

THE GREAT PUMPKIN --- Project Pumpkin Pie

Re: RE: THE GREAT PUMPKIN --- Project Pumpkin Pie Make sure you part out what you don't want off of it - or advertise it on dodgepowerwagon.com. There is a big following for 60s era Power Wagons now, even parts trucks command good money. This orange M37 is pretty darn cool. Please add...

    Square Holes in M105 Bed

Here's last years thread about square holes in the 105 trailer. The holes don't look THAT big, that they can't be carriage bolts. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=14220&highlight=square+holes+m105

I think the wench is mounted on him, not the other way around. Is the wench powered by the drive-shaft, or is it hydraulically operated? Or a little of both? Thanks, ladies and gentlemen, I'll be here all week. Be sure and tip your waitresses....

    Square Holes in M105 Bed

Just had a thought. Square holes are perfect for carriage bolts. Perhaps the holes are there to bolt in a shelter, perhaps?

    Square Holes in M105 Bed

Does the manual say anything about them? Was their a variant of the M105 trailer designed to carry a certain systems package or something that might have had these holes cut out of them?

    HUMVEE Replacement

IIRC, the M715 series, the M880 series and CUCV series were "interim" fields until a suitable replacement for the M37 and M151 were found, at least that is one opinion I have heard before in print. The HMMWV was supposed to replace most of them, except in a non-tactical role where the CUCV...

    East Coast Rally new date!

Wow, early start Cabell! Fantastic, I'll have to sign up! I'm kinda glad they are moving the date of the rally to keep it at the stadium. Yes, grass and dirt is better to set up on IMHO, but it was a familiar site, and it really did allow us the space for thousands to meet and spread out a...

    USMC bumper mod.

Down side to the lifting bars is that you can't mount them and then drive. Once the rear axles start to articulate, if you hit a pothole or go offroad, the lifting bar will start to move and, being held in place by the eyelet on the side of the bed, the pin holding it to the spring pack will...
