Looks as though you have your hoist mounted forward of the center of the bed. At the center point your hoist has to lift the weight of the whole load to get the bed started up. Anything forward of that point would increase lift capacity. For instance, if your hoist was mounted at the very front...
Have you verified that you pump pressure is correct? How big is you cylinder? What is the cylinder stroke compared to the accual scissor stroke?
My hoist is mounted pretty close to where yours is. My pump is set at 2500psi, my cylinder is 5", and the scissor/cylinder ratio is 3:1. That gives...
Two observations, If it's a stock dump it's not a M35A2 and how on earth do you know the clutch is at 50%? There may be a way to know that I don't know about (other than taking the clutch out) but to me the clutch is either new or it's worn out. I don't know how you can tell it's half worn out...
When I bought my M715 about 5 years ago the engine was tired and burnt oil. I checked on the rebuild parts but after pricing them and realizing the tornado wasn't the best engine Jeep ever made, I started looking for another engine to use. The problem is the thing won't die. I drive it quite a...
There's lots of interest. The problem is to get people to pay what it's going to cost. Alot of people would like this setup but very few will be willing to pay what it cost.
Most deuce owners are cheap (me included ) and it's hard to get them to pay twice or more for a engine and trans...
I met "Gunny" one time at the Knob Creek MG Shoot. He was shooting a episode of "Mail Call" and spent his time between shots mingling with the crowd. There's nothing fake about him. He is the same person you see on TV and is just as nice as you see on TV (minus his role in "Full Metal Jacket"...
I guess I'm a slowpoke. I tend to keep it around 45 (50 if I'm in a hurry).
I know there are many people that run miles on end at 55+ with no ill effects but I've also seen lots of blocks with rods hanging out them. I tend to keep it off the governor just to be safe.
I've aways got my trucks titled in TN with just the sf97 and reassignment letter. I never have got a title to any of the trailers I've bought because it's really not needed in TN for personal use and I don't have to pay GL $60 for the sf97.
You can't request a sf97 before you pick the trailer up.
Water injection has been done by Jwaller (with good results according to him). There has also been intercoolers added (there's a thread around here somewhere with one on a 5-ton multifuel).
No need to worry about this in a multifuel. The IP is lubed and cooled by the crankcase oil, not the fuel as in some other IPs. As a matter of fact, these engines will run with the lift pump not working.
I'm willing to help any of the members any way I can but these are my concerns also.My concerns may be unfounded but I worry about putting too much personal info out there for any and everbody to see. I'll have to study about adding my name to the list. About all I'm willing to do right now is...
:ditto:
if it's a bad tire then you could run over it but it's hard on the bead and sidewalls if you're planning on re-useing the tire. It's even harder on radial tires.
If the tube was included it that $50 price, that's not a bad deal. If it's $50 just for labor, I'll change as many as you...
Pic one is a air switch to use if you just want high and low (no neutral), Fuller PN A-3546. It mounts on the trans shifter stick.
Pic two is a switch that may work if you need the neutral position, Fuller PN A-4487. I say may because it is three position but I'm unsure of what position...
