Side wall holes like a nail or something little I have plugged (just to get home) But side wall cracks, dry rot, large splits = death. There is just no way a tire will hold up to any speed with the side wall degraded like that. Its time for new skins.
no the 09 will send less.. make sure you have the rear shoes set right and not too tight.. ez mistake lot of people make. also brake or rear dif fluid on the shoes will make them lock up like right now and in a hurry.
well there different in the 09 and the 08.... if you install a 08 master in a 09 you will have very touchy brakes and if you install a 09 in a 08 there going to be very soft. the master in the 08 should be a little larger bore to move more fluid for the larger pistons and cylinders. Really if...
That is a sampling valve used to get oil to send in to the jokers the army puts in charge to tell you when you need to change the oil in a truck. Never mind it only has 1200 miles on it but its the same oil it came with from the factory back in 2003.... sorry it brings up bad things when i talk...
blow by from the air compressor. A little is ok, I ran my deuce for years and never had a problem I would just leave the valve open so the oil would drain out. Really its not all that bad it lubes the air pack.. so as long as its not poring out your good.
I'm going to switch my CUCV to 30W.. the 15W40 just seams to brake down really fast in the older Diesel engines. Now for the D max I stick with 5W-40 full syn.
Clint you kow there Tan right? You really want to repaint the truck to match the top? You know that not going to fly having a green truck and a tan top.....
well if you want to drive year round get 16k plates or more... its aver 300 a year. If you can stand not driving it an Jan just get the other plates. I have never been pulled over in any military truck of mine with or with out plates.
well to do it right you will want to take the knuckle off and clean all the watered up grease out. Really what I have done is get all the grease out by hand I could.. let it all drain for a couple days.. grease the snot out of it and let it sit.. then installed a new boot and added some more...
well the correct way is to take off the cover and clean it all up and install a new paper gasket with a light coat of RTV and sealer on the bolts...... but it could work. Really I would try it. only thing could happen is have to do it the right way if that did not work.
