NAPA should have (or can get) the bearings. I don't know about O.D. Iron but I have found that most places will send you NAPA or WIX filters when you order. IMO if you're ordering a NAPA filter you're just as well to go to NAPA and get it.
Detroits are so bad about this they have an "emergency shutoff" that consists of a metal door that will fall over the blower intake when the lever is pulled.
Bruce, I agree. I think most of us do stuff like this from time to time and post like this serve as a wake up call.
I'm kind of like Kenny when comes to criticizing stuff like this. Don't want to be a hypocrite. The guy knows he screwed up and everybody here knows he screwed up so lets just...
The sound you hear on the big rigs is more than likely the air dryer. They make a very loud "air dump" every time the governor kicks the compressor out.
All deuce compressors run the whole time the engine is running. They may not be pumping air but they are running. I had a old truck driver...
I also got a "sneak peak" at the project. I don't know how much Ian wants public so I won't go into any details but It's going to be pretty cool. I will say that he is keeping the multifuel (for now) and I tried to talk him into seeing how much he can get out of it without blowing it. He...
The NAPA price I got wasn't that high. Like I said above, I don't remember exactly what they priced them at but it was more in the $100 a piece range. Which is still awfully high for a darned light.
"Fair priced" is the kicker. You can order the Trucklite brand through NAPA but they are very pricey. I Priced them one time, don't remember the price but I do remember hitting the floor when they told me.
The problem I have is finding a correct primary filter. Sure, the NAPA/WIX filter will work but it's hard to keep lined up because it's open in the middle and doesn't have the "line up plate" in the middle like the military filters do. I always worry that the filter isn't centered in the...
Is this winch mounted on the front of the truck? Did it come from the military with the Tulsa winch? Seems very odd to me as all of the M35 winch trucks I have ever seen or been told about had the Garwood. Could have been built to the same specs as the Garwood and they might interchange kind of...
I don't think any deuces came from the factory with that engine in them. You do see some come along every now and then with the LDS 465. I figured they slipped them in durring a engine swap at some point.
Could be several things causing your problem. Could be no air supply to the t-case, broken axle, t-case air cylinder not working, or a broken t-case. Does the front driveshaft turn while moving with the front axle disengaged? If not then your problem is in your front end.
