Go for it. Make it into T-shirts if you want. As long as you put -MadDawg308 after my quote, that way when people meet me at shows they can say "Hey, I've seen your quote on a T-shirt/sticker/beer cozy/etc!"
Glad my frustration and anger made you smile, Lanty!
Ya know, offroading is for people who have more sense than money. Not the other way around. I have no respect for that Hummer owner, who probably paid a fortune for that rig because his third leg is too short to impress ladies in other ways, and relies on REAL offroaders with REAL trucks to...
Because some don't have the radium gauges. Some are just luminous painted, or not luminous at all. Plus, they can only put the warning if they KNOW that the gauges are radioactive.
Just means that the trucks have radium luminated gauges on the dash. Not harmful, unless you tape one to your head for the next 20 years, or lick the gauges.
Gee, I don't know, I think...maybe it's yours! :)
Found the pic online, thought it was one of the best looking M52 tractors I have seen. Hope you don't mind me showing off your rig to other Steel Soldiers...
Cool! Good save. It amazed me that the military kept a 1950's vintage M52 for so long, but hey they like stockpiling things. Paint it 24087 Semi-Gloss, put a yellow nose on the front of that hood, and it'll look like a Vietnam era gun truck tractor!
RE: Re: RE: M101 Spare Tire
If the current tires are NDTs, the size you need is 9.00x16. Used ones are around, new ones will cost same as a similar sized truck tire, available from Coker or other vintage tire makers.
Offroading in Joisey in always fun. I grew up in No. NJ, and used to go offroading a lot in the woods, sometimes down in the pine barrens. Lots of backcountry in NJ, despite what most people think.
I have a guy near me that wants a longbed deuce, but needs the fold-down sides for his construction business. That would make it a M36A2C. Do they exist? Haven't seen any on GL, EVER.
Nice looking trucks. But I think the following:
1. You will have a problem with bees making homes in the nooks and crannies of them.
and
2. You should paint the word "DeWalt" on the door of that top one. Not sure why.
:)
Looks like one of the ones that Alfa Heaven had for sale. I have heard mixed reviews about his stuff. They look real nice, but a few here have found mechanical deficiencies with his stuff....
Military vehicles are collectable, but not THAT collectable. The most I have ever seen a REALLY nice M715 series truck sell for was $8500. There are some of that series out there that fetch more, but are very modified and custom jobs, that would command more no matter what model they were...
RE: Re: RE: Photos of my M37B1
Very nice looking M37! Bound to be a show winner in any competition!
Only fault I see is the steering wheel starting to develop some cracks (common problem). JC Whitney sells a do-it-yourself kit to repair cracked hard rubber on older steering wheels.
