It may be easier to bolt a repair panel in, then weld magnesium, if you can't find a shop to do it. If you can't find a shop that does mag locally, do not attempt yourself. You will end up with a pile of molten Mule if you do.

Bjorn, you might consider finding a wire wheel for your 3/8 inch drill, with nylon bristles as the "wires" rather than metal. Rotating plastic hairs can remove that stuff pretty quick too for all the crevises...

Pretty interesting. Would be great for riot control use, I presume. Reminds me of the M113s in Vietnam with the firing ports in the sides, but those were a lot more lethal....

I looked at that wrecker in PA for someone, can't remember his screen name. I think it sold for $6600 or so. It was nice, a little surface rust in places, but complete and had all the accessories. Couldn't get it started, batts were dead dead dead.

Yup, those Ft. Riley trucks closed for good prices. If the prices continue to be that good, it won't be long before I add a deuce to my stable....
