The EUC is to prevent folks from exporting items WITHOUT STATE DEPARTMENT APPROVAL. Get the approval for the sale, and no limits on how many items you can send. The purpose of the EUC is just to get the authorities involved in an international sale to friendly countries, and to prevent sale of...
I have a buddy who isn't on the site, needs a set of sling lifting bars (the big heavy bars that go from the rear spring packs outward to the loopholes on the bottom sides of the bed, used for slinging the deuce from a chopper for airlift) for his restoration. Anyone know where to find these...
Here's a pic of the chemical agent alarm. Murphy's Surplus Warehouse in CA has them for $90 in really nice shape if you want one for your restoration...
Oh yes, of course there is beer! Why else do you think us Steel Soldiers like getting together every month or so?
That's the only real purpose for a Mermite container - beer cooler! What does the military call them - "Container, Food, Insulated"? Heck no - BEER COOLER!
Wow, a lot more shows than I was aware of. Guess I'll have to make a point and get more MVs and start attending these meets, even if they aren't specifically military vehicle related.
I remember AMGeneral talking about how he went to a truck show with hundreds of gorgeous expensive show...

Anyone got any pics of M76 Otters out there? These are the tracked amphibious...
How fast does it go in water, John? Does it move along at a couple mph, or does it just seem to sit there, and churn a lot and get there eventually, like a dog swimming?
I think Saturn Surplus has them. They aren't on their website, but they have a lot of stuff that's not posted there. I don't know their number offhand, but it's on their website:

RE: How about a 5 ton?
Yep - them first couple pics was the one I was looking for, thanks! I think it would be cool to have a crew cab deuce, but I wouldn't bob it. Thinking of a deuce with 11.00x20s, standard 3-axle, with a crew cab and a shortened deuce bed. Mount a HIAB in the bed and...
RE: m135
It's got the original bed - those are hard to come by, most have been rotted out and replaced by M35 beds. I'd say it looks a little rough, but worthy of a resto. Not crappy enough for a parts truck...
That little puddle is 17 feet deep? Wow, must drop off pretty quick.
That's awesome pics there, John! You got her restored and fully operational in record time!
Why not send those pics, along with a very well written letter, off to the Patton Armor Museum? They have been known to send the flatbeds to rescue oddball military items when they are made known to them. I remember in the late 1970s when Army Reserve magazine posted an article about "Identify...
