Had the exact same problem with a 1009 this past spring. If it's slewing to the left, it is your right brake cylinder and or caliper refusing to close in conjunction with your left one. If slewing to the right, it's the other way around.
If you keep slewing back and forth and back and forth...
I about had another heart attack when I got the news that we are having another baby. We just sold our two old cars about 6 months ago to buy my wife her new van and my 1009. A 3rd vehicle is not a current option.
Has anyone ever used baby seats in their1009?
Someone stated above that the NG guys would be coming back for the M35's once they found out the LMTV's were a piece of crap.
Well...one of my former soldiers called from one of the units I did the force modernization of all the deuces to LMTV's. They've now had the truck less than a year...
Yep, the difference between vehicles if it is an M35 or an M35A2:
2320 000771616 M35A2 52516631 4M41870 WAPSA0 1970 C
2320 008358463 M35 M41870 04A4568 WPATT0 1957 H
Based on the info provided I looked up info on the A2 stock number.
the M35 (not the...
Let's see.... transfer to DRMO 6 months... sit on GSA list for another 6 months... released to GL another 2 or 3 months... GL lists 'em.. another month... looks like we probably have a year or more before we get a peek at 'em!
Reference above. I was highly surprised when a M923A1 5 ton...
Most units are in the process of receiving LMTV's and MTV's.
My last job was to convert the first brigade size unit in the Army from a mix of M35A2's, M35A3's, 800series 5 tons, and 900 series 5 tons to the new vehicles.
About 150 trucks swapped out in less than 2 years.
So you're gonna...
Uh...so much for that attachment. Let's try it this way, cut and paste.

WOODGAS POWERED VW'S AND OTHER VEHICLES
Click HERE for an 86K JPG image of a wood gas generator equipped Kubelwagen and Type 60 Beetle.
Fuel shortages during WWII prompted...
Here is a article on the holzgas. Germans made more than a fair amount of use of these systems. Also have seen pictures of they system in occupied countries (wood was about the only fuel they had).
I also think they made use of these systems in armored vehicles to perform driver training and...
The A2 version has surge brakes and 8 lug tires of the CUCV type. The A1 version did not have the surge and the tires are old 5 lug tubed tires.
Both have 3/4 ton load capacity. A2's tend to be harder to come across with GL whereas most of the 101's GL sells are the A1's. A2's also cost more...
The directive we were given was if the vehicle cannot move under it's own power, all fluids and the batteries must be removed. All fluids is suppose to include final drives, transmission, engine oil,... everything. So it's never a sure thing but if it has fluids, it may just need a jump.
My...
I think he's smoking too much weed...way too high.
I would think buying one for a few hundred bucks and going to pick it up would be cheaper. Of course you have to do the EUC thing.
Had the same issue with an old one at the unit. It was the vaccum modulator. I think the cost is about $15 at the autoparts store. Took about 20 minutes to change for a rookie. Seem to recall it takes some fine tuning to adjust it.
Check out the -20 (change 2 is the one I have) manual...
Need to get either the serial number and registration number. Prefer both since many times folks get a digit wrong and the registration number can help resolve that issue.
Already checked the TM's and can't find what I'm looking for so what do you call the optional metal protection plate that goes over the VRC46? I think we use to call it a doghouse but I'm trying to find the NSN and official name for it.
Anyone have one for sale??
