I agree, leave the 15w-40 in there. The trans in the 7 ton runs WAY cooler than a M939 and I think ATF would be fine in the Allison 4000 because it runs so much cooler BUT its a complex trans and you'll never get all the motor oil out if you switched to ATF.
I don't agree that "it just takes time" because I've filed three different small claims law suits against GP and then magically my SF-97 appeared within days.
These videos are a little boring but there are a couple good tips, like using a high lift jack and the ratchet strap to the roof trusses. This is for the 16.00's but the concept is the same for a 14.5
I found the correct flash file for our engines and the link is below.
Recap on how these work. The flash file is the HP/Torque tune and that cat PN# is 220-4352-00(see the attached picture). The configuration file are all the parameters of these trucks ie the coolant temp wiring style...
I feel your pain. I stopped getting mad and started suing them. I understand that's not a good option for everyone but it was the only way I was able to get them to do what they said they'd do.
Here is the parameter configuration file from my 2002 MK23. This is useful if you need to replace your dead ECU with a new one. Click this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/fd0h7fmvj418ag5/9SM03523_ECMREP_2020-02-18_18.37.38%20MTVR%20Stock.xml?dl=0
Also attached is the 355/410 hp flash "tune"...
I downloaded my parameters last night and will post them here later today. I was trying to find the correct "tune" file to go with it but its not easy. I'll post the 1,650 ft lbs torque file until I can find the correct one.
The door handle with lock is available, just not cheap at over $100 each. Here is a link https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oshkosh-3196615-Outside-Door-Latch-Handle/282787050096?hash=item41d76bf270:g:IRoAAOSwcj1aQ655
The striker plate is available too...
Pay special attention to what Eli said about the moly grease. Moly and normal grease doesn't mix well and moly can be hard to find locally

I do it all the time mainly for wear and tear. Because I would rather replace my shop air compressor than the trucks engine mounted compressor. One issue is the moisture your putting into the system
They use a 70 pin ecm. Its s slim chance that you'll fine a ecm for the 9sm engine. You'll probably have to buy a 70 pin and have it flashed for your engine. Oerhave it repaired like Efituned did.
The other SF97 went the same, $500 offer and I received it a few days later. The other was a weird deal. I bought a civilian truck and the person I was told to contact for pickup wouldn't respond to schedule a pickup date. I had paid for the truck and was just trying to pick it up. Finally...
I have filed 3 small claims suits in my entire life and all 3 have been against GP. 2 of them were for not sending me the SF97 within the promised 60 business day time frame. The most resent(see picture) they offered me $500 to settle out of court and I accepted because I received the SF97 4...
Jon, interesting find for sure. There is a bronze bushing that the axle 1/2 shaft sun gear rides on but that seems like a odd place for wear. I love the aluminum tape idea. Curious what the outside temp was, that oil looks thick.
I didn't film the 1st or 2nd oil change on my hubs but here is #3
If you get into a pinch and are facing fines for them storing it, I can pick it up on Feb 14th and store it for up to a couple months. I hope you can find a better alternative but that's a backup plan if you need
Its working perfect now. The truck rides smoooooooth on sand mode lol. I love that you can shut of the ctis system so if you go over the speed for that mode it won't kick it up to the next pressure level. Plus you can put it in 15 ton mode, get the extra power but the tire pressure stays the...
