I just bought this unit and it ran but made no voltage. I adjusted the mag pickup and moved the high/low voltage board to the low position. Now the engine will only stay running if the main switch is held in the start position. It runs great but once I let off switch the engine shuts off. The...
GP tell me their inspector was unable to find certain info on my M35A3 data plate so they sent me a request for a SF97. All the fields are missing and my questions are:
1. What should I put for the year? 1990 would make it 25 years old and I might be able to register it as historic?
2...
I bought a M35A3 on 12/2/15, paid on 12/3/15 and picked up on 12/7/15 but I haven't received any paperwork or emails. Do I need to contact GP, or do they contact me 1st?
Ok thanks. I'll try to cross reference the numbers. I pulled it and it looks great. There were a small amount of metal shavings on the head but not too many. I bottom it out and then backed off 3/4 turn but I had the same results. I turned it in another 1/4 turn and had the same results.
Ok I'm getting OL for ohms while measuring the mag pickup. I'm bring less than 1vac while using the dead crank. Any idea what the mag pickup pn# could be? Thanks for getting me this far
Sorry for the hijack but I am having a similar issue. When I start the generator I am only getting 6v from each leg, and 12v across two lugs. The voltage gauge on the panel reads the same low voltage. Turning the voltage adjust knob doesn't make a difference. This is with the ac connector open...
I've done a bit of research and found out the wires in the above pic go to a linear actuator, which I assume is acts as the throttle. The wires go to a Woodward control box. Terminal 9 and 10 go to the actuator but have no voltage when the main switch is in aux prime/run, or prime /run.
