Since you have rear flat, I'm guessing the line that broke is the CTIS line to that wheel, and not a brake line.
If it is a brake line and you still have brakes, I would ask are your brakes caged?
If you change the studs to stronger ones, and increase the torque I think you will deform the head and or block. I do not think the gasket is the weak point, or the hardware.

One bit of advise, please consider adding reflective material to the rear of the trailer. Add as much as you can. People tend to run into these trailers partially because of the subdued colors.
Since none have ever sold by this new company(or in the last decade or more), nobody knows what to expect.
