    Deuce as daily driver?

That's really interesting that yours likes it better. I know they like biodiesel better, at least from what I've heard. I suppose if it saves that much, having to rebuild/replace an engine is worth it. Are you daily driving yours then too, drivebymashing?

    Deuce as daily driver?

Interesting. I knew it was somewhat harder on things already, but it might be worth it anyway. I'm planning on also finding a second truck for parts anyway... I don't think it will work too well in the winters in Fairbanks, Alaska though, so during the colder months I expect to run straight...

    Well...I Finally Did It....Got My 925A2. My 1st MV! (and I'm Hooked).

    You need one of each! M923, M923A1, M923A2, M925, M925A1, (already have a M925A2), M927, M927A1, M927A2, M928, etc. etc. etc.

    Deuce as daily driver?

OK, good to know I'm not the only one considering attempting such a feat. Are you running alternative fuel by any chance, doing that much driving?

    75 mph in a Deuce

Interesting! I guess it is possible after all to actually enjoy having a radio in a mostly-stock Deuce.

    Deuce as daily driver?

And I forgot to add...I might have a 200 mile round trip/each weekend commute too. So maintenance would be really key in my situation.

    Deuce as daily driver?

Yeah, I've gotten the do-the-brakes-first-thing advice from multiple sources, and it makes sense. Did you do the dual-circuit brake modification to yours? (Or was yours a USAF truck to start with anyway?). Just curious, how long did it take to get yours on the road as a daily driver, and what...

    75 mph in a Deuce

Wow, $37! And do you have any exhaust modifications so it's not as loud? I'm surprised you can't hear the truck over the radio anymore, or are you also wearing hearing protection simultaneously?

    75 mph in a Deuce

Interesting. I'd probably add 12v to mine when/if I get one, so I'd use a standard 12v aftermarket unit. (Being more of a terrestrial radio listener anyway).

    Deuce as daily driver?

So basically just keep up on the maintenance and I should be fine? (18y/o Deuce "newbie" considering one as their first vehicle and daily driver).

    Just a reminder for Newbe's

This makes me wonder something: (total Deuce newbie with limited experience). Trying to roll-start/push-start/bump-start (whatever you call it) one of these, is there high potential for engine "runaway" even if the injection pump hasn't been messed with? I've read some somewhat terrifying Deuce...

605 miles from Hayes, Virginia to Kenton, Ohio in M813

Sounds like a fun and adventurous trip!

New from TX with 5 ton M925 driving home

Agreed, we need pics and a write-up of how the road trip goes!

    75 mph in a Deuce

Does it feel weird driving around with a radio now? That's one of the FIRST things I can foresee doing to mine once I get one...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Wow, yeah, that is a lot of yard work!

    75 mph in a Deuce

Good looking truck! Sounds like yours is a little more enjoyable to drive, too.

I'll PM you with contact info. Bummer about the engine...so was it engine-less or did it have a NHC250 or something?

    is this the fuel line?

Fun stuff, sounds like something I'd do once I get myself a Deuce. Sounds like a good way to relieve stress! Plus, there's always the firewood after that! How big of a place is this, anyway? Multiple acres?

    Hello from Alaska

JSC, I'm currently located in roadless, MV-less Port Alexander (Sitka area) but moving to Fairbanks this fall. We should keep in touch though in case I'm ever in Anchorage and have some downtime, or if you're in Fairbanks. Would be neat to try to get together! Friends laugh when I tell them...

I know a case of a Chinese shackle breaking, too! Scary!
