It's a 5 ton truck. A gas engine truck. Old Short wheelbase, maybe a tractor or dumptruck. This makes it an M39 series truck. Look at the dash, on the passengerside above the map compartment. There should be a data plate there. Take a good picture of that and post it. What's broken is an...

I have never understood why TB has a drive thru, everything on their menu is too messy to eat in a vehicle (while driving).

    Changes to the classifeds

Sellers (other than vendors) can only have 10 ads at a time. How hard is it to maintain 10 ads? We could limit it to 2, that would make it easier yet.

    TM -20 help

Look at the front cover of the TM. Troubleshooting is in Chapter 2. It is just after the PCMS. Your issue is likely a sticking shuttle valve. There should be plenty of good threads on this(how to clean and lube it. Proper shifting is also required. One old trick is. sit still with truck...

road draft tube / slobber tube

Yes, both and the fact that all engines designed in the 50s vented their bases to the atmosphere with no regard to the environment. Also the simple fact that almost 500 cubic inches of air is cycled/swirled every revolution in the base.

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Let me put an idea in your head. It reminds me of an icecream truck. I'm not about to suggest you convert it into a mobile icecream truck, but.... Maybe a freezer in the back, to hide some icecream in? I like icecream... It also reminds me of Divco trucks. Nifty for sure.

    2nd alternator, 12V

A keyed ignition switch, won't you still be switching 24 volts? If so, the acc terminal will have 24V. You'll still need a relay.
