Rod Ventilated Block in Deuce -NOT- Crank Broke

Sometimes I get a little carried away in my story telling. ;-) I have the next 5 days off so I'm going to get it into the barn and start pulling stuff off of it.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

    Blew it up.

Rod Ventilated Block in Deuce -NOT- Crank Broke

I think George hit it on the head (no pun intended). I crawled under it, and looked in from the tire and up top and could find no holes or lines broken or anything. Gimpy went over it as well and it looks (to both of us) that the head gasket blew. It has either taken out a rod or liner or...

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I was considering bringing my Deuce until yesterday......... :-(

    Abandoned Vehicle issue Government Liquidators

Someone posts that they made a mistake (several) and asks for advice, not a reaming. I feel bad for the OP since I, unlike some of the rest here HAVE made stupid mistakes in my life and I suspect I will make a few more before I expire. If it costs $10k then it will be a valuable and painful...

    TMs Notebook for quick access

The last time I checked about having a manual printed out it was so expensive that it just wasn't worth it. For the cost of a few manuals you could buy an iPad with 3G and carry them with you.

Rod Ventilated Block in Deuce -NOT- Crank Broke

I'll try and search the block for the hole but something put oil all over. I don't think Stretch's truck leaked oil when he lost his cylinder liner last year. I'm going to get my warranty paperwork out and see if it is covered under power train.

TTYF Thanks to the Kroger July 4th Team

Now that you mention it while we had to alt off I cleaned the tags and it is a 1992 Toelle overhaul with std bearings. It was still a good day. We got it home safely and I just put the story up.

Rod Ventilated Block in Deuce -NOT- Crank Broke

So I do the The Thank You Foundation static display in Newport, KY today and it was pretty toasty down there with the rest of the SS guys. I just got the truck back together yesterday with Gimpy's help and took it to get fuel and everything was fine. I only put the new 24v civi TM America mod...

TTYF Thanks to the Kroger July 4th Team

I just want to send a special thanks out to: Junkyard Wars Crusher (Jeff) Vondy (Clint and Austin, his son) Bsutter (Bill) Donnerwetter58 (Dave) We had 4 M35s and one M185A3 parked in front of the Kroger Newport, KY for three hours today. Did anyone else throw a rod through the side of...

No longer stuck in river by grand island nebraska

It is pretty easy to recognize the truck as the one off TV. I watched Ian build it several times. Old firetruck stuck in the river. A. Was Gimpy in the truck B. Was Ferro in the truck C. Was Rbeasley in the truck :-) Glad it's out.

    New Hydrogen Tech, very promising

Obviously it is easy to be cynical but let's look at the facts. We store and transport gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, LP gas, propane and liquified natural gas every single day. I'll bet every single person reading this site has ridden in a rolling explosive device in the last week (anything with...

    Radiator fan replacement

I have wondered if you could pull the mechanical fan and put an electric fan or dual fan setup on the truck. If my water pump looked really bad I would replace it. I keep a NOS one around just for that reason.

My answer to the people who said my Suburban was too big!

Since you don't have a city and state listed no one can accurately comment on whether it is right or not. But, if your DMV says that's the way it is then they are probably right. In Ohio that is almost correct. It is for shows and parades, not driving every day or going to Home Depot to pick...

Where can I find brake cylinder for Deuce wheel

Porkysplace posted before I could. I have saved that sticky to a couple of computers. :-)

    M931A2 Truck tire change

It will probably work but why not just get a 3/4 drive? Not many 1/2 in impacts will take them off unless they were not put on correctly in the first place. I have to use a 3/4 breaker bar with a 5 foot cheater pipe to do just about any lug on my trucks or trailers.......
