    2 questions, batteries and tires

I agree. The main reason I use the RV battery is that it has two sets of posts and makes connection easier.

Why not WD40 into the unloader?

I saw this mentioned in Slate's breakdown thread. I didn't want to hijack his urgent thread for this nonurgent discussion. I've had an unloader stick. I blew the moisture out with compressed air and then shot it with WD40. Problem solved. Remains solved some 5 years later with no further...

    2 questions, batteries and tires

Someone here may have more knowledge and experience than I do, so i welcome comments... But this is what I do - I take a deep cycle RV battery with two sets of posts. I connect one set of posts to the battery charger. I use jumper cables and connect the other set of posts to the "bad" AGM...

    2 questions, batteries and tires

Those are the best batteries going. You can probably resurrect the two "bad" ones. I have 2 of those in my HMMWV, dated 2011. It was the only one of my MVs to start at 17 below.

    2 questions, batteries and tires

If the two "good" ones load test fine then that is exactly what I would advocate .

Hardtop for M939, what did you have to pay?

    @Buffalobwana may still have one.

I am wanting to buy my first Humvee I guess from gov planet!

It's hit or miss whether the DMV will give you an unrestricted title in AZ. The primary variable is who you get behind the counter.

    Excessive oil pressure m925a1

IIRC, spec is 8psi at hot idle. Typically you'll see more like 30psi. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/what-does-your-oil-pressure-gauge-read.140170/

Trailering home MEP-803A, what kind of trailer should I use?

I'd take the M1102. As LID says above, with care you can fork them from the end without damage. I've done it.

    Bobbed deuce speed

That should be about 57-58mph. Speedo is going to read about 10% to the low side at any given speed.

tires, wheels, brakes, T-case, lockers and axle seals, general fixes

The wheels appear to be LMTV rims.

    M923 power steering belt size?

1984 isn't an A2. Albert's post quoted here is the correct info.

    Excessive oil pressure m925a1

Doesn't sound unusual to me. Fairly typical of NH250s. I've had several.

A little ctis advice while recovering please!

When applying the parking brake lever , it also dumps the air from the springbrakes. This is what you're hearing. Unlike a deuce, the 939series 5tons primarily use the springbrakes as the parking brake.

A little ctis advice while recovering please!

You are aware that the front service gladhand is supposed to vent, and that removing that vent will cause the brakes to grab?

New to Steel Soldiers, interested in purchasing first HMMWV

Sounds a lot like the discussion about MTVRs before they were released. But in general I agree with you. I'll be shocked to see them released in my remaining lifespan. Changing topic, to the OP's original question - I don't think $10k is going to get a 4man variant that doesn't need major...

New to Steel Soldiers, interested in purchasing first HMMWV

Sounds implausible, right? Except that quite a few things that were considered "zero probably events" happened. HMMWVs sold without shredding, MTVRs being surplussed, and the list goes on. So I wouldn't bet long odds against it.

    my new m35a2

    1) The sprag t-case works fine. They're a little fragile, and very intolerant of rolling backwards while in a forward gear. My understanding is the only way to go to an air shift t-case is a t-case swap. I've been stuck in a truck with a sprag t-case and it turned all 10 wheels in forward and...

    my new m35a2

When you lack enough experience to develop opinions of your own and you're forced to make decisions relying on the opinions and experiences of others, it is best to solicit opinions from as many sources as possible. (Referring to the OP) I've had a bunch of these trucks (5t and 2.5t) with tires...
