Way more than $5k.
Significantly less than an m929, slightly less than an M817.
But the fact that it's a functional dump truck adds real world useability and significant value.
Judging from the pics, it looks like you've done a really nice job restoring it. I'd call it $10-12k.
I'd also...
I'd use the MV. It's within reach and would make a nice little roadtrip for the MV.
Here's the thing about the pickup truck -
Sure, he moves 25,000lbs with it on a regular basis. But his trailer has brakes and the lion's share of the braking is done by the trailer brakes. The 1082 only...
Sue and family were gracious enough to allow me to accompany them in their HMMWV for some mild offroading at the KAMO thing.
I was very impressed with the rollcage and brush guard they had fabricated. Well thought out and well executed.
The brushguard portion is beefy enough that he used it...
The Mack's are somewhat rare. And desirable.
As to tire size, I recommend against 14.00's. 14.00's are no longer in use by the military and the supply has dried up. Replacing them will be a PITA.
395's are plentiful and cheap and frequently already mounted on a compatible rim. 395's are 45"...
They can get more than just the tare weight wrong.
The most recent XM818 that I transferred was listed as a gasoline powered sport utility vehicle.
GP has typoed the serial number on more than one vehicle I've gotten from them (transposed digits or omitted digits).
They seem to run about a...
Consider-
Your name doesn't appear anywhere on the SF97. The SF97 transfers ownership from the fedgov to GP. GP then fills out a reassignment letter transferring the vehicle to you.
In contacting DLA directly, what you're saying in essence is "I bought your vehicle from GP. They're dragging...
Someone bought it. Was it you?
Some general thoughts -
This looks like an off the shelf military acquisition of a civvy genset.
The military seriously underrates their generators. What the Army calls 10kW is more like 12.5kW in reality. So comparing an 803 to a civvy 10kW isnt really applies...
I predict no noticeable effects of any kind, good or bad. Given a huge runtime sample size at 60hz and a huge runtime sample size at 55hz and some seriously sensitive measurements, you might be able to detect some small differences in fuel consumption and bearing wear rates. (Huge = hundreds of...
The thing about lockers and snow/ice is that when you break loose you break all the tires loose and begin sliding downhill, be it forwards backwards or sideways. With open diffs when you lose traction at least one wheel stays planted and you simply stop moving.
Going the other way from duals to singles all you have to change is thimble removal and a lug nut change. What's different here?
I readily admit I might be missing something. Enlighten me...
