Why not continue one of the threads you found searching, that way it would include more info and others will not need to find this thread to get the extra info?
Your step/battery cover may have a drawing under it, showing the wire connections.
As crash said, that is the GP supply and it gets 12V.
If you dont' use the cold start with GP, you could leave it disconnected.

While I do agree the newest site search is less efficient that the old one, You must realize that most topics have been covered and there by there will be many many threads on them. That does require more time to find what you need, but persistence usually pays off.

I was just looking and found M10 X 1 5 X 40 , of course, there are others. Not sure which ones you need.
I googled the number & "bolt" to find that info.
First off, those are GM part numbers, specifically AC Delco part numbers. They work at a dealer.
If your parts house can't cross reference, you may want to try another supplier.

Well, when you search, it helps a lot to search in the applicable forums to narrow down your results. Of course, this is useless when members post in the wrong forums. ;-)
Give me an example of what you might want to search for, and I'll tell you how I would search for it.
I would bet those ratings take into consideration which trailers they are towing. Just look at the front A frame of an M416 or M101 trailer and you may agree.
You used 45 degree flared fittings for your replacement parts. You replaced from pipe thread to pipe thread, so your repair will work fine.
The Generator uses 37 degree fittings for all of the fuel lines, originally. This is standard.
