I will never use wellmans again. They can and do swell. (more than any others I've used). Said it a hundred times before. I use AC60G.

Before you go looking for windings, test yours first. Try a local starter/alternator shop for windings.

If you did not diagnose your old alternator, you cannot safely say what was wrong with it. There is more than one component that can fail and cause a short. I'd bet your alt was repairable with the $40 kit you bought. I would guess your rectifier was bad. Testing is covered in the -20tm...

Nothing has changed since the last time we beat this to death. btw, diesel rx are wellmans. AC60G will work just fine at -20F with once cycle if your other systems are correct also.

Replace the middle return line(with the T in it) with a new line. Pipe plug the supply down at the IP.

Downloading is one thing, reading and understanding them is another. I think you should have failed.

And don't forget the boost pump seal can cause fuel in the oil also.

Maybe the boost pump shaft seal has blown out?

I've killed a HH from plugged filters, using junk fuels.

I don't think I would tow that much ever with an M1009. 3-3.5 K max. They are just too short for towing, imho.

Why in the 5 ton forum? And, sadly this had been covered to death before as well. I'll beg, please search well before posting.

The HH could have been ruined from starvation.
