I bought some welders from them without ironclad assurance. They were described as 3phase and INOP. They were single phase and fully functional.
We bought a truck with their ironclad assurance. No mention was made of coolant in the oil. One of the liners had let go, and all the coolant had...
Made it about 100miles and blew a tire. Good thing I brought a spare with me from KS.
Drove it the rest of the way to Socorro NM uneventfully. Parked it there while running some errands with the redtruck.
I think you're sucking air somewhere.
If the lift pump wasn't new-ish that'd be my first suspicion. It may still be the culprit.
Between the lift pump and the little filter on the block is a fitting with a fuel pressure sensor. Check that as its prone to crack and leak.
Check all the...
You have a sensor that failed. They fail on. Replacing the failed sensor will resolve it.
Air pressure, or park brake.
There's not a simple way to disable just the buzzer. Putting tape over it is as close as you can get. Then there's the issue of if there was ever an accident they'd scream...
The super 8 in Tucumcari has good truck parking and reasonable rates.
Del's diner in Tucumcari has a decent ribeye.
Driving at night is a bad idea. All the more so if you're tired, in an unfamiliar truck, and feeling pressed for time.
A few days ago I made a good decision. I stopped 75...
Today we drove 100miles each way and bought a lift pump from Cummins in El Paso.
All issues resolved with a new lift pump. Truck is now running like it should. I'll drive it to KS using just the driver side fuel tank and then restore the selector valve and passenger side tank once I'm there.
Description didn't do it justice. Here's a more accurate description -
Sounds fine at idle. Won't go over 20mph. Falls on its face and dies. Full throttle wasn't reaching the throttle stop. It was only going to 2000rpm in neutral at WOT.
Adjustments made. It now reaches 2300rpm in neutral at...
Here's my understanding and speculation-
Pressure distal to the filter is higher than it was prior to filter changeover to spin on.
It wasn't bypassing before.
Presumably the old filter was full to the point of restricting flow, but not to the point of bypassing the filter. New filter isn't...
I'd be tempted to split it out into two or more loads. This way you only have to run as much generator as you need.
It also allows for some redundancy of capabilities in case of failure. One genset failure won't deprive you of heat and light ...
Your first paragraph, that combination of features isn't plausible.
If it has the NH250 then it is an A0 or A1. It never had CTIS - that's only found on the A2s and the hubs are different.
Differences between A0 and A1 are minimal, aside from the wheels and tires.
The truck almost...
If he was buying it for a toy, then I'd agree with you 100%.
What he wants is dependable primary transportation that is safe in a crash. A HMMWV just isn't the best choice given those requirements.
Those wheels are 939series combat wheels. They can't be dualled, nor is there a reason to want to until you go really really heavy. It's almost certain that you won't go that heavy with a standard 14' cargo bed.
The 14.00R20's won't safely fit on the original lock ring rims.
The Mack version...
