Negative. I have the M818 on 16.00's in AZ and the XM818 on 11.00's in MO. I'll be moving some things around and part of the planned trips includes the XM818 empty to KS.

That truck is an '84 or '85. "A0"... 16.00's would be just fine in your application. 395's would also be fine. 5th wheel camper doesn't really qualify as "heavy" in the context of these trucks. Those hills on I 25 are going to slow you down no matter what, 395s later than the 16.00's but...

I'm thinking you may also need to remove the top, the exhaust stack, and fold the windshield.

The MT654 is pretty much maxed out with the stock 8.3 liter torque output.
