Nope. CO DMV internal memo says not to title or register any military vehicle, including historical interest MV. Here's a screenshot of the memo and a screenshot of a close up of the portion that kills the historical ones also...
These things all leak to a greater or lesser extent. The slantbacks more than the rest of them just due to the design.
As for me, if I wanted a slantback, it'd have to be a real milspec slant back. I'd get it that way up front. I'd pay the extra for the 4speed transmission and seriously...
I just stick magnetic 12v lights on for towing with a civvy vehicle.
I leave the 24v alone and use it when towing with a military vehicle. I hate the thought of hacking up the 12pin connector.
I'll be back in KS in a couple of weeks. That's about an hour from the house.
Those little trailers tend to be nontowable on the road with a max speed of 15mph. This may be something to consider.
I will have an M925 and an M998 to work with. Worst case, if you haven't lined something up by...
Chainbreaker had this to say on the topic -
"As one example: If i communicate to you that "I will bid on item #9999 if you bid on item #8888", which are the same model item but several are offered under different listings. The intent is you don't want to bid against one another to keep bids...
I agree with just about every point you make except that the supply of A0 trucks running low. I suspect we will be seeing them at the current levels for at least a couple more years...
Over 10k GVWR *and* the offroad stamp is what triggers the restriction. This combination is going to be the...
I think bleach is a bad idea.
Dish soap and a water hose. Then exposure to direct sunlight. UV kills it dead.
The above has been sufficient for KS climate. It probably would not be for GA/FL. AZ requires no moisture interventions. I have no experience with NJ so no idea there...
You're asking your questions specific to M923A2 trucks. The truck you're getting isn't an A2.
By asking your questions specific to A2 trucks, the answers you'll get will be specific for A2 trucks. Most of the time the answers will be the same for A0/A1 trucks also, but not always.
Eventually...
At 50-60% tread, presumably 2002 datecode or so, they have a retail value of $800-1000ish for the set.
Your potential market is the the deuce owner as well as anyone running these on a 5ton.
Edit to add pic of G177s on a deuce.
Also, my experience is that these wheels without tires have a...
Consider -
Cop has a decision to make.
Do i sit here safely and wait until it's absolutely safe to cross the tracks? While a nonbreathing baby dies due to my inaction?
Or do I roll the dice and cross unsafely and risk my life against a better chance for the nonbreathing baby to live?
Looks...
My understanding is the hardware that fastens the adapter to the wheels, even in grade 5, is stronger than the wheelstuds fastening the wheel to the truck.
It is also my understanding that grade 8 fails by snapping, whereas grade 5 will distort and bend prior to breaking.
This may be one of...
The way I'd do that is aluminum MRAP rims and adapter plates . Adapter plates are required to bolt the 10 lug MRAP rim to the 6lug deuce hub.
Before the MRAP rims became ubiquitous, you used to see HEMTT rims recentered from 10 lugs to 6 lugs.
