You can do no better than to get one of the guys who worked at Cummins to help you out. My Brother took his dodge pickup with the Cummins in it to a guy who worked at the Columbus plant on that engine and wrote some of the procedures for it. He knew exactly where the design was flawed and how...
He and gimp managed to convince me to show my second Deuce at an air show last fall even though I had not done a thing to it. He said that if you really want to show a Deuce it should look like it just came off the line with mud on it and just the way the service used it.
Other than painting...
I have Gulfway. I have historical plates on the Deuce here in Ohio and have had no problems but that doesn't mean a whole lot considering I have only had it out on the road twice in the last 6 months.
I usually only run it on the the farm.

Of all days I didn't have a good camera with me.....yes, that's all i could get with my cell.
I got pretty close when we slowed down but he never had to stop and I didn't want to try and get the car in front of him. :-)
If it is one of Alan's restored ones it was some good work.
I caught up with this trucker going north on Ohio SR122 the Friday that Star Trek opened at the theaters.
I know that Alan restores them in Middletown, OH but I didn't know if this was one of his. I know he said he would have one ready for sale in a few months and that was a few months ago...
I would think that an LP version from Home Depot in the 17KW range would do you just fine.
Everything in our house including a well pump runs off a single phase 220-240 100Amp service and our whole house is electric everything..... :-(
A 12KW (continuous) generator would handle ours. Now if...
Firefox has built in spell check. It underlines the mis-spelling in red and then a right click gets you possible spelling to select from and you click on the one that is correct and it changes it for you.
Chris must have some kind of wicked good luck because he could have lost an eye instead of just getting a sore nose with a couple of cuts.
A busted nose would just add character to that mug of his, loss of an eye is more problematic....... :-(
I was thinking the real axle seal was leaking...
I'm about 12 miles from the site.
I believe the 817 has the Cummins 250 in it and that it uses 4 batteries.
I'm not checked out on an 817 but I wasn't on the Deuce either when I drove it 350 miles on my first recovery.
I may be able to help out or I can get my Brother to help you.
Just...
We have 18 and I just built the 48x80 ag building. :-)
Ag buildings don't even need a bldg permit here. That saved a bunch of money.
I'd still want to register at least one with historical plates because we can just paint the license plate number on the trucks instead of putting a tag on...
I believe one of the first things is that you have to have a farm. We have one but don't farm it yet. I just went ahead and put historical plates on one of mine. I only drive it for events anyway. :-)
Thanks to you and Dennis for looking for (and finding) shackles for my truck.
$5 is a lot better than the guy selling a set for$75. (But his sure were painted pretty.)
Good to finally meet you guys in person Sat at Findlay and I would have said bye if it weren't for the pouring rain and everyone scrambling to get out of it.... :-(
I mentioned to stretch the possible reason for taking a civy truck to Haspin. I may not be able to drive either of the Deuces...
