There is a readily available recplacement ignition switch the M915A1. I'll try to locate the thread on that for you.

I've removed the rear bed and reinstalled a plate over the rear. On to that I have an old 5th wheel plate and I've been using it to move campers in a nearby campground. When the right M1008 or other cool donor truck comes along, I'll pull it, but until then, it is super handy as it is.
