That Kansas tag doesn't mean they rhino lined under the cab as preventive maintenance.
When trucks went through Kansas Readiness they got that rustproofing tag. But that's the least of what they did. Kansas was an RSMS site. At a cost of $65,000 per truck the trucks were stripped to the frame...
If you describe your problem we may be able to help you figure it out much cheaper than an electrician.
I suggest posting a description in the 5ton subforum
I'm going from Fayetteville NC to Gimpyrobb's in OH the week of 8 august. I'll have a gooseneck with some M105s on it. It should fit in one of the 105s....
I've towed them with M35A2s and M939series trucks. With the cargo trucks it's possible to turn tightly enough to contact the bed. With a truck tractor that isn't an issue.
For your M983 it's going the be the cat's ass. It should go nicely behind your M977 also.
I really like them, even when...
Overkill is underrated. Get you a nice heavy gooseneck. You'll be surprised how often you'll use the extra GVWR, and when you're done moving your stuff around you'll be able to sell the trailer for what you paid
My understanding is they'll return the auction selling price, but not the final purchaser's buying price.
It'll be interesting to see how they handle it. Hopefully just a non binding "request" as seems to be the opinion/hope of many on here....

I'm going to let the above piece of advertising speak for itself.
Please note that the truck linked to is claimed:
1) to be an M35 (it isn't)
2) to be powered by a "caterpillar multifuel". (It is powered neither by a CAT nor a multifuel, and CAT...
I can dispel that speculation:
I see bunches/dozens/hundreds? of them on the DRMO lot waiting to be auctioned. I also can't believe GP would miss an opportunity to push prices up by announcing that theyre running out.
My best guess says this was two noobs bidding it up.
I've got a complete front axle in OKC. I'm handing stuff off with gimpyrobb in OH sometime in the next month so delivery may be an option.
BTW, I grew up in Frankfort.... PM sent with contact info.
I see no reason not to get rid of the air supply to the t-case.
How smoothly does it shift for yuo without any air supplied?
As to your other questions, I'm sorry to be of no help. I watch and learn....
I bought an M925 out of Ft Hood. I had a tow company go get it and take it to a storage place. The tow and 3 months of storage was under $400 total.
If yours is a runner I'd think you could find someone to drive it to storage cheaply, and storage is about $50/mo.
Although I get to OKC frequently, I'm still a ways away and don't plan to be there anytime in the immediate future.
I have used okcauctionservices.com for those times when I can't get there to get my own stuff.
