That means sleeping in a moving deuce. I've done it. I've slept in a moving Bradley. Suboptimal...
You don't want to be on the road with someone who is driving after the only sleep is in a moving deuce...
I've got 1000 miles to do in my M923. I'm planning a departure Saturday before noon, and arrival late Monday night. I'm probably somewhat optimistic...
I've got a 340 mile trip tomorrow. It'll take every bit of 10 hours....
I think you're excessively optimistic on timeframe. I drove an M35A2 1300 miles or so and it took 4 days.... 350miles in a day is recreation. 550 miles in a day becomes drudgery....
He's going to rent a truck and move the stuff from his trailer to the rental truck. He's going to store his truck and trailer with a buddy and come back for it.

I've had no problems with those longer towbars. Yesterday I flat towed an M939 series truck about 400 miles with the standard adjustable medium towbars and couldn't turn as tight and had more wander while going down the road.
I think you're absolutely right on the chains. I don't generally...

Use the override on the dash to diagnose this problem. If the dash override fixes it, that's the problem.
Obviously don't use the override as a workaround, only as a diagnostic...
now that I've seen it, yes there us a RRAD rebuild tag on the dash with a mileage stamp about 1000 less than current.
The ABS light is constant on, even with 2 new group 31 batteries in the truck. It is not doing the two triple clicks on startup. I suspect the controller.
The truck runs...
It's going to vary by state...
But AZ made me emissions test my 1985 m1009 CUCV. I'm not sure what's worse- the fact they made me test it, or the fact it passed...
Food for thought: add 10mph to my speed in this unfortunate event and how does it play out?
He would still go by me sideways.... except instead of him narrowly missing my winch with me standing on the brakes, he impacts me solidly and I become a participant instead of an observer. And the odds...
I've experimented with panic stops with unbraked 14k on towbars behind a 5ton on wet roads previously to see just what it would do. I was unable to get it to break the rear wheels loose.
If i were to snap the towbars , that's why the crossed safety chains are there. Braking would then be...
I use and endorse the 68k medium-heavy towbars intended for the M113 APC. They're not as bad to move around as the true heavy 112k bars, yet will tow anything up to a HET.
Private sellers making such claims are engaging in fraud and deception.
If they overstate the rebuild, I wonder what else they're misrepresenting.
A much more honest way to phrase such claims is "rebuild tag on the dash with xxxx date and xxxx miles. "
To claim a 100% rebuild is just...
Yesterday was an eventful day. Shakedown drive of my most recently acquired M925.
A fellow SS member got a truck at auction and needed it delivered to PHX. I got up and pretripped my truck and went and picked it up. The GP guy was good to deal with and we had the towbars connected in a very...
