you never had to wait forever for PCS or TDY orders?
You're trying to make the EUC process make sense. It doesn't and it won't. The m939 series trucks don't require an euc, but the transmission by itself does.... the examples are endless. It's arbitrary and useless.
One would hope that GP would not attempt to enforce that. Looks like that clause was placed there in order to cancel sales to people who can't pass an EUC.
I speculate that if GP were to attempt to enforce that clause and it were to be challenged in court, that it would be tossed out as an...
I would love to see what is really involved and the time it takes to approve an EUC. It is not rocket science.
It's about what you'd think. Some Pogue types in your data into a few databases to see if it comes back flagged. When it doesn't, they stamp it approved and send it on its way. It's...
"Should have", sure. There's all kinds of tweaks to the contract that you and I could make that would improve the situation.
This wasn't a negotiated contract. Essentially the government said "here's a contract to sell surplus vehicles. What's your highest bid?"
And GP outbid GL by a factor...

I could buy M1101s in Ft Bliss and bring them to tucson, cover fuel, pay myself for making the drive, and sell them with titles ready to go for less than equivalent trailers would bring at auction at DM AFB.
If the problem is batteries, changing the batteries is fixing it right. I'd throw known good batteries in and see what that does before throwing parts at it.
Here's my most recent experience with it: I drove my M923A2 from Tucson to Ft Bliss and met up with carnac. I shut the truck off. When...
That switch is suspect. The pushbutton switches are prone to fail spectacularly. Disconnect it and see what you've got.
Then replace it with a 3 lever switch.
Lindsey97 is the kind of guy who'd give you the shirt off his back, or in this case the wheels off his truck.
After 2 blowouts I was without a spare. Lindsey pulled wheels off his truck to send back with me, and even delivered one roadside (with his dumptruck no less!) for blowout number 3...
The HLD4 truck you saw on the outbound leg.
There were no signs of impending failure on any of them.
I've stopped for tje night at Munday TX.
Here's some pics from Lindsey97's...
