Seeing as hmmwvs were required to be mutilated to the point of "nothing useable" up until just recently it is highly unlikely you'll find anything intact in a junkyard, much less a junkyard dedicated to them.
single circuit brakes, which are risky (even more so if you plan to tow a trailer with it.)
I disagree with your premise that the single circuit brakes are more dangerous while towing than when not towing. I assert that towing a trailer with the M35A2C actually increases braking safety...
The brakes on the deuces would rule them out for me. I just don't like the single circuit brakes with a single point of failure leaving you with no brakes.
Towing a travel trailer is going to necessitate a custom hitch for any of the MVs.
Any of the diesel trucks will have a good deal more...
Makes for lower prices for the rest of us :)
The SF97 lag just gives me more time to go through the truck and repaint it, then when the paperwork is ready to go, the truck is also ready to go. Then people have a choice of rolling the dice on an unknown auction truck with a wait for paperwork...
And not everyone expects the EUC process to be fast or easy. Out of those 300, you may have a few dissatisfied but probably not many. At this point the EUC is a known problem and should be anticipated...
We have an effective monopoly. If we had multiple companies with access to sell them I strongly suspect that resolving these issues would be a higher priority.
Marketing consists of setting expectations, the higher the better for sales. Customer service consists of meeting expectations. These...
nobody is keeping them in running condition before the sale either.... in all seriousness, these trucks sit for months to years prior to being sold.
push hard enough and you just might get GP to decide you're more trouble than you're worth, and they'd refund your purchase price and sell the...
5 calls to DMV generally gets you 5 mutually exclusive answers.
I have been unable to get AZ to accept SF97 for any vehicles. I have always gone with real titles.
My experience is for 5ton trucks and assorted trailers. I have no direct experience with anything specific to hmmwvs.
If you shorten it, take a bite out of it such that two of the bottom crossmembers end up just a few inches from each other when rewelded. This makes that portion tje strongest and stiffest, with the most reinforcement.
I don't see a reason to shorten it, unless departure angle is very...
he suggests that it's worth a look to make sure the cable hasn't abraded itself against the block on the driver's side, and that this is a well known design flaw on the m939 series trucks... and fix/prevent it by enclosing the cable in a hose.
his translation device picked a different word than...
Battery acid isn't *that* reactive. I had safety glasses on (don't trust the other battery), but I just reached in with my bare hands and pulled them out, and then immediately washed my hands.
Thick rubber chemical protective gloves would be a better practice.
Box was open until seconds before I started the truck. I almost didn't bother closing it, but obviously I'm glad I did now...
I don't think there was sufficient time to accumulate any gasses in the box.
Went to start my M925A1. Two batteries only. I run all my 5tons on just two batteries. I've never had a problem. Ambient temp was 110ish.
Battery switch on, all is well. Two triple clicks of the systems check.
Flip the switch to start. The NH250 cranks vigorously and immediately fires...
