i would use later mounts and shackles, the early deuces used 15/16"pins, this ment everything was 15/16, the later ones are 1" and will work with the TB adptors and pins,
when i had the 8x8 trucked down, the driver unchained but left it on the truck while i went to the bank for the money, would not let me hookup till he had the money, maybe you could try that

one more thought on this that i have not seen mentioned here, the front drive shaft is real close to the trans, you start changing trans and ptos, you need to check the driveline clearences BEFORE you do anything, other wise you might end up with a pto in the middle of the driveshaft :oops::roll:
those upper bearings and gears are splashed lubed from just the transfer working, what will KILL the xcase is running with the xcase in neutral then they dont get ANY lub, (this is why the -10 says running in neutral is a no-no).the xcase pto set up has a oil pump and line to lub the upper...
i use cucvs for the 819, i was contemplating on getting a deuce to use as chocks for the 8x8, but being that the 8x8 is sold, all the planed 8x8 expenses are no longer planed
some feel that talking about a item in a active auction will raise the price because more people will know about it ,, hence bid on it raising the end bid price
