Getting back on the road. I cut the zip tie off the fuel solenoid at shutdown last night and it was not required this morning. Truck started at the first hint of a flip.
That'd be a bucket of water (starts out as ice) and several cloths. One on each leg, one on my head, rotate them frequently. Cat litter buckets are not in short supply at my house, and the size and shape fit.... :)
Made it to rgs20inophir 's about 90 min ago.
The only issue with the truck so far is the fuel cutoff required a zip tie. Fortunately Carnac had one available and prevented me from resorting to duct tape.
And now I've made it to Antony TX. I've spent many a night asleep here in the truck. Carnac is on his way to meet me here and we'll be handing stuff off shortly....
So begins my latest ill-conceived trip. I'm leaving momentarily , driving my M923A2 and towing Carnac's M101. First destination is Carnac's to return his trailer and hand off some goodies to pass down the line.
I'll update this with pics at each trivial little stop. :)
I'm just the opposite :)
I much preferred GLs poor descriptions. You take some risk, but you get some good deals because GL'S "won't start" just means they flipped the switch once and it didn't fire right up. I bought trucks from GL for scrap steel prices and drove them 1000 miles home from the...
Making accusations of shill bidding is a pretty serious allegation. Felony fraud charges would be warranted if this could be substantiated.
One thing I did like about GL as opposed to GP is that the unique bidder number allowed for trending: if bidder 12344678 consistently bid in such a way as...
Wheelbase makes more of a difference than you'd think. If you set the cargo truck as baseline, the M934 is quite a bit less nimble, and the M931 quite a bit more nimble.
As an example I frequently squeeze my cargo trucks into a regular parking place without too much difficulty, just a little...
GVWR 75,000lbs but that doesn't answer the tow rating.
If we knew GCVWR we could derive it but I was unable to find that listed anywhere either.
Sorry to be useless...
If the buzzer is the first notice you get that there's a low air pressure problem then you're not watching your gauges closely enough...
If you can hear the buzzer at highway speeds in one of these trucks then you hear a lot better than me... (plausible)
