Regarding emissions testing....
I don't know what is worse, the fact that I had to get emissions testing on a 30 year old diesel that never had any emissions equipment to start with, or the fact that the emissions testing standards are so low that a 30 year old diesel with no emissions...
It makes a big difference. The 934s are noticeably different from the cargo trucks.
The tractor ' s short wheelbase also makes a huge improvement in driveability compared to the cargo trucks.
Anything I have can be delivered en route. Anything Carnac has can be delivered en route(go look at his M1061 trailer!).
Also along the way we have Droprat, and Ryan, and Warthog and several others. Warthog is dumping a bunch of stuff so cheap that it's almost free - here's your chance to get...
It isn't really a trailer. Note the diffs on the axles - they're powered (and have lockers even). This is the back half of a mk48/16, like a hemtt that hinges in the middle. The driveshaft is in the bed of my 5ton. The drawbar is a cobbled together piece to allow it to be towed by a truck, but...

Unfortunately, exceeding that limit results in...
That's what I was thinking... the mother of all semi dollies :).
Except that even without a trailer it reaches the max rated tow weight for the M939series cargo trucks, lol.
..and I have no idea why I bought it. It's a completely useless heavy thing. I have no idea what to do with it.
I guess I'll just have to get the front half....
Wish you were closer. I'd MIG it for you for free if you did the prep work.
Sandblasting the 5ton trucks is no problem. They're thick and hard to deform. But the cucv will warp on the wide flat spots. Sandblast with care... ospho may be a good idea as a final pretreatment prior to paint.
