If I was buying it, I'd want to get it for $3500 or so.
If I was selling it, I'd start it at about $5500 and expect to get $4500 or so.
So, it is neither an exorbitant price nor a screaming deal. If a M1009 is what you want, that one looks ok. Pay no attention to the odometer reading...
Except they apparently don't know the market as well as IP does. GL's reserve prices are frequently as high as full retail. They had set reserve prices on a bunch of well used warn 24v winches that was higher than retail on NOS ones elsewhere. Not a single winning bid on any of them. $1k didnt...
Before you give me a hard time about taking pics while driving, here's my justification:
1) I took them blind. Not looking at the phone, just point and click. For every one I got that's worth looking at I got 5 or 6 that aren't. Risk was minimal. Comparable to drinking a water while driving...
A couple of you said you wanted pics. Here they are.
5ton to Nellis, first stop was at castle bravo's to grab the drawbar. Then on to Nellis. I handed off some stuff to silverstate55 who is one **** if a good guy, then we hooked up the MK16 to the 5ton and I drove back. Roughly 400 miles each...
Leaving tomorrow. Taking 5ton. Bringing back MK16.

If we have not discussed transport and you need something moved cheap or free, now's your chance :)
I had copious amounts of parking at the last place. This new place has adequate parking and a garage where I can weld. Best of all, it doesn't have the neighbor....
the neighbor that sneaks around watching me and complaining. The last place was 4 acres. The house is on the far end of it from...
I've spent the last few days moving. I'm convinced I have too much sh..tuff.
Filled the deuce twice, the redtruck twice, the M923A2 twice, and an M105A2 full to overflowing.....
And filled the M989A1 to the gills...
Made a bunch of trips of about 40 miles distance.
Actually I agree completely.
There's "legal",
there's "safe",
there's "not really safe but you'll probably get away with it",
and then there's "don't even attempt it".
Without looking at legal aspects I'd consider the tow of the loaded M105 behind the 1ton truck as "safe". I base this...
My CDL was obtained by going to a truck driving school in KY, total something like 6 weeks. I don't remember the ride along portion as 3 hours, more like half an hour. I'm sure it varies by state.
The weight I quoted for my Ram is from when I took a load to the dump. I weighed it full on their...
