That was a bad day for sure on a whole lot of levels.
I'm a big believer in Roadside Assistance, but of course you need to be on a road to get the assistance (i.e., off-road, and you're "up the creek").
Also keep in mind the Catch-22 of all insurance (even the roadside assistance):
- you pay...
I don't think stupid is strictly an Army phenomenon:
- I remember as a Navy Seabee hanging doors in the morning, and then spending the afternoon pulling all those same doors down (that was just ONE episode of being "all you can be", only it was in the Navy). Go figure. :cookoo:
What're you...
I was wondering why I couldn't recall seeing any of these things before. That sure explains why I never saw any photo of them in action. I am reassured!
Greetings hasardeur, your English is great, you don't ever need to worry about that.
And welcome from the USA over here in the great old Commonwealth of Virginia.
Wolfen, are you meaning:
- Some command during the war cobbled one or two of these together in theater, or
- Maybe that, AFTER the war, somebody built one on their own?
This is great, thanks conny.
I don't recall ever seeing a photo of these. Patton in the 4x4's I've seen, but nobody in the 6x6 that I can think of.
Does anybody know where these were used?
You bet, Big Dumb Truck; there's three of us who'd subscribe right-off-the-bat to your "bionic" thread.
I got a lazy bone though, can you please post a link here to the thread (I mean if you decide to "launch")?
You don't owe any of us a reply:
- And whatever the total cost and final tally, it has ALL been worth it, HanksDeuce.
Because that fine rig if yours is one-of-a-kind, and superlatively S-W-E-E-T!!!
