Had to replace 1 of the 4 batteries. Just under 3 years old.
With Number 1 and 3 connected for 24v...is this correct.
Im guessing that on any prolonged starts...#3 takes the hit for the starter.

I removed the std troop seats for driver and passenger. Installed a fully adjustable air seat. Looking for ideas to hook up for air? Anywhere on the CTIS manifold? Or is there a preferred area?
Quick question. On a M1070....when using the air system....I did a check yesterday. Results.
Ctis system full air specs. All wheels 68psi.
On the Emergency setting. All wheels 28psi.
Air down time....10-15min
Air up time.... 1hr or so.
Does this sound or spec out ok?
If not???
Hoping to get some help with you all. I'm having a bit of difficulty in troubleshooting some items.
1. RPM GUAGE DOESN'T WORK.
2. HYDRAULIC COOLER stopped working.(spinning]
3. Batteries are only charging to 23 volts... which over time depletes battery. Batteries are new...50 amp voltage cut...
Morning everyone. I have a Oshkosh M1070 with the 2-stroke Detroit 8v92ta. I was hoping to find some answers here for my low power/low idle issue. Max rpm at this time is 1000-1100rpms. No CEL's.
I was driving said vehicle down the road and everything was running beautifully. Just hit...
Well...Elton was a God send. He was able to fix several things...
1)No start...fixed...starter will need replacing someday. It works now.
2)Jake Brake...hi/low fixed
3)Air leak -identified leak...new fitting needed.
4)Tire leak...fixed(fixed two rims with loose nuts securing bead to tire)...
Well...I own a M1070 and it's probably never seen the kind've weather it's going to see in Montana...so I'm going to add a Battery box heater and insulate the box to keep as much heat inside.
Now to the Engine and coolant....Does anybody know the size of the lower radiator hose off hand? Or...
Introduction in order. We purchased a 1994 HET M1070 just recently. It took some logistics getting it here but we eventually got all that taken care of. We put "Optimus Prime" in a "parade" last weekend and a car-show. We had a great time talking to many people.
There was a local army vet...
Hello folks...just picked up a M1070. I had every intent of driving the truck all the way to Eastern MT. Was wondering if any of you folks know of a RGN or Lowboy in the Reno Area that can transport an HET up to the great state of MT.
I've read that their are manuals available for my M211 in pdf format. Does anybody have the operational manual, engine and tranny rebuild manuals and the chassis manual.
Charles :)
